Never seen this show. Will it entertain a 5 year old AND his 75 year old grandmother? Is it worth the big ticket price? Thanks.

Yes and yes.

The 5-year-old's entertainment level will, however, depend on what s/he normally likes to watch. I've seen little kids absolutely mesmerized, and I've seen little kids who were bored, so you need to base it on what you know of your five-year-old. If s/he can sit through a movie and be interested and engaged, or if they can watch a regular circus and stay with it, then you shouldn't have a problem. If, however, your little one tends to get bored easily no matter what, then Cirque probably isn't the place for them.

But for show quality, innovation, color, fantasy, and amazing feats of balance, acrobatics, flying, and everything else, the price is most definitely worth it!!

:D

I'm a 73 year old great aunt - took my 5 year old nephew - and we both loved it. But as WDSearcher pointed out, that might not speak for all people of those ages. As for being worth the big bucks I will only say it was definitely worth My big bucks.

Thanks for the input. My 5 yo has been going to the theater since he was 2, with no problems, so I think we'll give this show a try!!

You won't regret it! Our just turned 7 year old loved it, and we will be taking her again in November. We all love this show!

I took my almost-5-year-old daughter last fall. She enjoyed the show for the first hour and then started to get a little bored, as I had thought she might. But the show is so incredible that it is totally worth the price, and your aunt will love it! I think your 5 year old will be just fine. And by the way, it's a good idea to make sure to take a restroom break just before the show, because if you take one during the show, you'll miss a lot!

DF went in October with DD5 and DD8-both loved it
although they had to buy DD5 popcorn for the last
little bit to keep her occupied (went to early show
and turned out she was just hungry!!)
