Hi - Already planning another visit for next year and am once again in savings mode.

When we go again, our kids will be almost 6, 8 1/2 and 10. I have been wanting to see Cirque Du Soleil but never wanted to pay the money before when the kids were so young.

For those of you that have been, would you recommend the show and do you thinks kids this age would like it? Because it is an expensive outing, I wanted to get as much feedback as possible. Any thoughts anyone might have would be great.

Have a great day all!

i took my dtr when she was 5 and she loved it,

We had 9 kids from 3 to 11 on our last trip, and this show was a highlight for each one of them! Incredible! I hope you are able to go!

We saw it in July with an 8, 9 and 10 yr. old and they all loved it! We had a chance to see The Big Apple Circus a few months prior and based on their reaction to that show I was pretty confident they would enjoy Cirque.

It is expensive though and was definitely our big family event for the trip. We had already done Hoop dee Doo and fortunately my kids aren't big on souveniers so that helped as well.

I'm glad we saw the show. It's something that I really wanted us to do once as well and we really enjoyed the performance.

Just as a FYI - all of the seats are very good since it's a small theater. The middle level of seating is a little less $$$ and you will still have a great view. Many of the events happen above and around you so sitting too close to the front can mean looking up an awful lot.

DH and I went in 2003, left the kids with grandma at the hotel, and LOVED it. I would think your kids are old enough to enjoy it, too, as long as you don't mind the cost.

Your kids will be amazed by it. I was around 11 when I saw it...and WOW! It was basically all I could talk about when we got back to the room!

The kids will love it!!! My son was 9 last year when he first saw it and he thought it was incredible! When we were first making our plans for our trip this year, he had to make sure we were going again.I know it is quite expensive (even more so for us Canadians, also because we like the best seats) Even with the price increase, it is worth every penny.

Thank you all so much!!! That's it...we are definitely going! Just have to save a little more money for it since we also want to do Hoop Dee Do this time as well. Never been there either.

Isn't Disney planning such fun!!!

go to any and all Cirque shows you can anywhere ( well ok the one adult one at New York new York in vegas I hear is bad).

I had the same reservations you had with our DD (5) for our upcoming trip and purchased the DVD of La Nouba to see if it caught her interest. She loves it, and its right up there with all her favorite DVD's.

But sadly La Nouba goes dark the day after we arrive and stays that way for the balance of our trip. :guilty:

Sure we could make the show the night of our arrival but then DD(5)'s first true experience of Disney wouldn't be CRT for breakfast with her favorite princess. Cirque will unfortunately have to wait til next time.

DW and I renewed our vows in vegas a couple years ago( drive thru standing up in limo moonroof- not recommended for two slightly robust people- a little tight) and to top the night off special we went to "O" @ Bellagio. $100 USD a seat in the balcony.( and I got them box office direct)

I was skeptical that that price was justifiable.

Let's just say I'd pay the scalpers prices for another cirque show in a minute. Do it without a doubt if you can afford it.

I adore Cirque, but wasn't sure DD would want to sit through a live show. As it turned out, I splurged and took her when she was 7 and she just loved it. She's still talking about it a year later and would go over and over again if I could afford it. :)

It's bright and colorful and full of action and music and every kid around us was just really enjoying it. Make sure you're sitting down early - there is some 'extra' stuff that will entertain the kids while they wait for the main show.
