Do they allow video or still cameras during the show? We're planning on seeing it in May for the first time and are wondering whether or not we should take our camcorder.

I just saw the show last Saturday (Dec 27th) and they said no cameras or video.

At the start of the show I also saw one of the stewards speak to a man in the audience and told him to switch his camcorder off, obviously because he was unable to follow a simple instruction.

Enjoy the show, this was my first viewing and I was stunned and amazed by it. I'm going back to see in July.

Absolutely no cameras or video.

They almost threw someone out after they took a photo.

Thanks guys. I figured as much and am actually glad. I tend to miss out on a lot when I'm working a camera. This way I can simply enjoy the show!

Thanks again for your responses!

Being a professional dancer on stage for many years, I can tell you the reason they do this is because the flashes and bright lights from camcorders are VERY distracting. During rehearsals we sometimes have people come in for publicity shots and it can be difficult. I would imagine with the feats done during Cirque-it's probably a lot more dangerous for the performers to be distracted by that. It's really a safety issue.

Matt,
No problem. Enjoy the show!
We saw it a year ago and when Dralion came to Columbus, we saw it too! Amazing!

If you really want a video "reminder" of the show, they do sell a video called "Inside La Nouba" in the gift shop. It's nice, with highlights of most of the acts. I really enjoy watching it when I get nostalgic for Disney!

We never miss this show it is absolutely worth the money! We were there when a person took a picture while some of the high acts were going on and that person was ejected after one of the performers fell into the net.
They make it known that cameras and video equipment is not allowed to be used before the show starts.

You will LOVE Cirque!!!

Have Fun!
