I have ressies for Cirque in 9 days.

I am wondering how to dress? Are khaki shorts and a polo shirt ok? I am planning on spending a few hours at Disney Quest before heading over to Cirque and would like to dress causually, but dont want to be underdressed. Any help would be appreciated.

OH, also, the CM who took my ressie said the show starts at 6, but there is a pre-show at 5. Is this accurate?

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

Yes, that attire sounds fine. We wore polo shirts and khakis. It was getting chilly.

Yes, there is a preshow. Be sure to be there for it. It was a lot of fun. I wish I could talk my dh into seeing Cirque again. We really loved it. But, he doesn't want to spend the money.

We are going to Cirque on Friday. The suitcase is already packed. DH is wearing kakhi shorts, a button down shirt and sneaks. I am wearing capris, a top and sneaks. We have never been, but my research says to expect people to be dressed from casual to dressy. We are going to see Bob Jackson after, so we are going for comfortable.

We will be back Sunday, so I will follow up with you as to what I saw.

Thanks for the heads up on the preshow. I wasn't aware of that!!!

I've always gone to Cirque shows in slacks and Polo shirts. I think that in the setting of South Florida in a huge vacation hot spot, that anything would be fine, just so long as it is tasteful and neat (no ripped/faded/worn slacks/shorts/etc. - no tank tops, etc.). Just use good judgment and you should be fine.

I'm going this Friday too. I did not know there is a preshow either. We are going to the 9 oclock show so should we get there for 8?

I just saw Circ for the third time about two weeks ago.
The pre show actually starts about thirty minutes ahead of the actual show. And very worth arriving early to see!!!
And pity those who are trying to enter and find their seats while the pre show is happening. Watch your backs. You may be being followed. :)

Thanks for all the great replies!

Please feel free to post your experiences, I would love to hear them when you get back!

They actually start seating around 5:20 (8:20) and the pre-show begins at 5:45 (8:45) with the shows at 6 and 9.

Being that it is on Disney property the attire is very mismatched. Some people dress to the hilt others are in their park wear. So whatever you are comfortable in is fine for La Nouba... Enjoy the show it is great (we have seen it 7 times...loved it so much I know work for them part time)

:)

Just back... I didn't really see anyone dressed more than casual at the 6pm show. Most people were in park attire, with some a little more than that. I'm betting the 9pm show is probably a little different.

Pre show a must!!! Loved it, and sets the stage for somethings that happen during the show. However, if you miss it, you won't be left out of anything.

Our seats were perfect! Section 204, Row HH. I wouldn't want to be any lower.

Enjoy!!!
