What's wrong with clowns?

Clowns scare me! That's why I never go to a circus.

That is so sad...Don' they use nets? i always thought they did.

This is so sad. Remember in the mid 70s (I was in 6th or 7th grade) when that old guy, one of the Wallendas, was tightrope walking between two buildings and fell? They had that on video and showed it over and over and over again. It was disgusting of them to do that.

That is terrible, must have been awful to witness. But what surpises me is that they say she fell onto concrete.

Why on earth do they not have something soft underfoot when they have such acts:confused:

Soft fall or whatever may not have necessarily saved her life, but surely it would have lessend how bad her injuries were.

Very, very sad. :( We see the circus every time it comes to the area and we have seen those performers. Some of the things they (all the others) do makes me nervous since there aren't always nets below.

Robin, I remember the Wallendas. I'd actually met them and gotten the daughter's autograph shortly before this happened. I was only a kid at the time.

Very, very sad and an unnecessary death.

I've seen this show at MSG and in CT. I wonder if I saw her. (There are 2 traveling Ringling shows.)

I do not understand working with out a net. Not at all.

The last show I saw (Oct), someone did fall off a wire or trapese, but there *was* a net.

She leaves behind 2 young children.

Just saw them last winter and wondered why they didn't have a net. One person is too many to lose when they can have a net. I would rather the net and lose some of the magic (I have Disney afterall) than a person- with kids no less!

OMG - they were just near us last weekend performing. How sad indeed.
