Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Whew... Now I can relax. :) Got in at 6:58 this morning, got a live person about 4 minutes later. :cloud9: Whoever wrote up the tips on getting through, I thank you so much, I couldn't have done it without you! :goodvibes

Congratulations on getting it today!

I was going to say to definitely try tomorrow. I've had good luck getting through on a Sunday and others have posted that they have too. (Maybe this will help someone else, though).

Wait a minute! Did I read one of the posts right? A $200 deposit? How much is the meal? I want my DD to see Cinderella, but for $200, I'm not sure. :guilty:

We will be there from 10/3 to 10/8. I called this morning for an MGM reservation at Brown Derby and after I got it I though I would just try my luck and ask about 10/4 which is when we will be at the Magic Kingdom. I had tried on the 90th day and yesterday and there was nothing. To our luck, there was a table at 1:10 for 4 for lunch on Tuesday, October 4 and we got it. I am going to surprise my daughter and not tell her since she thinks we were unable to get reservations.

The moral of the story, keep trying, you never know when someone will cancel, especially withing two or three days after. Sometimes people will take whatever they can get and try the next day or the following day for a time or meal they really want and then cancel the original one. That's probably what happened in my case. When I checked back a few minutes later it was sold out again. It just takes persistance.

The deposit is per person. $10 per adult and $5 per child.

Is 7 months in advance too early to book?

good for you - remember though that Oct 7th is a FRIDAY!!!!

Oh, yeah, I know it is [but thank you!] ~ I think my mind was on overload between getting up just about 20 minutes earlier, the anticipation when I got into the system so quickly, then the excitement of actually getting the ressie [tee-hee!], :hyper: so when I posted I wrote Thursday the 7th instead of Friday the 7th, but in my notes I have it correct. Jeez, wouldn't that be a horror ~ get a PR [or AR, as I guess I should call it], then go the wrong day!

I'm so happy, I've got AR's for all the places I wanted! :Pinkbounc

Why? Are fridays the busiest days? :confused3

I don't know if Friday's are more busy, but I think Suzanne74 was just pointing out that October 7 is a Friday, not a Thursday, as I had posted. :)

Hey!!!!!!! WE GOT CRT Breakfast Oct 6th!!
I called a few times this week and got 2 ressies for dinner at CRT and was told that I was lucky to get those because the 1st week of Oct was selling out by around 7:30am each day. But then this afternoon I thought I would try and see if they had an opening for Oct 6th for either Breakfast or Lunch the day we were wishing for and YES :cool1: They had a spot for our family!!!!
So maybe we will do both Breakfast and Dinner. Although I would still like to have lunch the most, so we don't have to get up so early but who knows maybe if I keep checking they may be one! But I won't complain about getting breakfast feel lucky to get it!
Just wanted to let you all know just keep checking and maybe some pixi :wizard: dust will come your way!! :cloud9:

Thanks to all the info from this board, I was able to get the ressie for Cindy's lunch and My Princess tea party at the GF on the days I wanted.( took about 15min) Our first trip to WDW is looking fantastic! princess:

After reading a bunch of threads and getting some helpful (but occasionally conflicting) advice, I decided to write a quick "help sheet" for others who are doing the same.

Here is the process I recommend:

1) Determine the date that you can make your Cindy's reservation. Go to the DIS Priority Seating calculator and verify the earliest calling date for the dates that you can attend (90 days prior). Realize that there is a VERY good chance that you will be unsuccessful if you only try once. So plan on getting a PS for early in your trip and if you get it, GREAT. If you don't, you can still try the next morning.

2) Have your credit card ready. Disney now requires a credit card guarantee of $10 per adult and $5 per child. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

3) You should only make reservations using the (407) 939-3463 number. The (800) numbers used for Annual Passholders and other services sometimes have delays (as much as 12 seconds) that will seriously hinder your ability to get a Cindy's PS.

4) Syncronize your clock. Go to the official U.S. time clock for great results. I have DSL at home, so I leave the official U.S. clock up on my screen while calling.

5) Get up and 'at 'em! Begin calling at about 6:58am Eastern time. Plan on calling 10-15 times during this two minute period. The range seems to be picking up between 6:58:30am and 6:59:30am. Some people have successfully tried and used multiple phones to get through.

Please note that there are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling Walt Disney World. Our office is closed... (hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial immediately).
or
b) Thank you for calling Disney dining. At this time, we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have already arrived for your Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any Walt Disney World restaurant to make your dining Priority Seating arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Once you hear option b, you're in and on hold! Do NOT hang up or you may lose any chance of a ressie! Please note that you cannot select any options while this message is being read. You must wait until the word "understanding" is completed.

After this passage is read (i.e. immediately after the word "understanding" is read), immediately hit the number "1" key twice on your phone.

Here are the options that you are skipping:
If you are calling to make a Priority Seating for Victoria and Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, please press 2. If not, press 1.

If you are calling from the Orlando area, or to make a reservation for within the next seven days, please press 1. If you are calling to make a reservation for your upcoming trip, press 2.

I don't recommend that you select #2 in the second option because if you select it, you will then be asked to give additional information (i.e. how long it has been since you last visited WDW, how many times you have been to WDW in the past four years, your telephone and/or reservation #). You don't have time for these options, so select #1 as directed above to skip them. After hitting the number "1" key twice on your phone pad as described above, the following line will be read:

Thank you for your time and patience. All of our representatives are currently assisting other guests. We look forward to speaking with you momentarily.

Again, do NOT hang up. Wait for the next available CM. You are almost there! Cross your fingers AND toes!

6) Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CM and blurt out "I need Cindy's, for **insert date**, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.

7) Be sure to write down your time and PS #. If your PS is before the park opening, you'll have to present your PS# to get into the park.

Please note that if you can't get a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table, another excellent character breakfast is the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot!

Have any editorial suggestion? Please share!

Good luck to you all
!

it's crazy I was so worried about getting reservations i was making my self crazy. I called the first possible day at around 9:30 and was able to get a reservation for my trip in september. I was shocked and even told the women on the phone how surprised I was. She told me that they almost always fill up in minutes but lately they have had tables left over. That might have only been for that week in september, But I am happy! I guess I'll try my luck again for my March trip. That I will really need the luck for! :earsboy: ::MickeyMo
