Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Maybe I just got very lucky, but I called less than 45 days from our trip, I overslept so didn't call until 8:00 or so, and hardly had to wait on hold at all, and then was able to get ressies for both of the princess meals that we want do with dd 3. This included breakfast at CRT. Please don't get discouraged, keep calling. I also made ressies for the rest of our stay, and didn't get one of the restaurants right away, and considered just waiting to see what happened. Then a few days ago on a wing and a prayer I decided to call and see what would happen and I got in there too. Typically, things don't work out for me like this- My db has always said that if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all- so if it can happen for me, it can happen for you, too!

Well, that was easy.

Maybe because I wanted lunch, not breakfast.

Started calling this morning at 6:57 ET (4:57 my time, ACK!), got through after 8 or 10 redials. Pressing 1,1 immediately after the first message worked, as my dh got through before I did but was sitting there listening to the Victoria and Alberts question that I skipped, and I ended up getting a live person before he did. (tsk tsk to hubby, I told him to hit 1,1!) Got CRT, 1:00, Sept 28!! Woo Hoo!!

('course, we're going to be trying again, because we'd rather eat there on dd's Bday a few days later.)

Thanks to this board! I wouldn't have known how to do it without you!

Just had to share... Got AR/PS early this morning for CRT for Wednesday, September 28 at 9:45. This was the only day that we would be at MK so the only day I had tried for CRT. I was hoping to get a time before the park was open, but ANYTIME for CRT is GREAT!! Calling is very nerving, but so rewarding when you get it.

Well I got two tables this morning for our party of 10. Unbeliveable. The last two trips we have not gotten any and this morning it was way too easy. Some times it pays to get lucky. We will be there at 9:15 AM. And it is less than 90 days till we arrive!!! Yes!

I have to say "Thanks" to those who have shared advise on this thread. I called in this morning following instructions given....started calling at 6:58.....called about 5 times before getting through.....listened to message.....pressed 1, 1.....waited approx 6 minutes on hold.....asked for ressies for CRT...Sept 28.....first available....table of 4.

Got ressies for 8:50!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the helpful information on this thread!

Forgive me if this question has been asked before. We want PS for Cindy's lunch during our trip. I would prefer to have it on Thursday, but could also have it on the Saturday before as we will be in MK that day also. I feel as if I should go ahead and call at the first opportunity, which would be for the Saturday seating. If I am successful for Saturday, but then call 5 days later and am also able to get if for Thursday, will I cancel Saturday's ressie while I am on the phone with the CM? Since you have to guarantee it with a credit card, won't they know that I already have a ressie and possibly refuse to book another one for me? Help?!?

no they won't refuse...technically you could be making two separate ressies for going for each day...get what I am saying?? You will be able to do that...but remember to cancel the one you do not want within 24 hrs of the meal or you wil be charged

I just called at noon to see if there are any cancellations and we got lunch for 9/29 That is perfect for us because we are traveling with 2 babies and it will be after naptime!! It fits perfect with our day! Here is the thread I posted ~ I am hoping the sweet cm who helped me will see

I just wanted to say thank you to to Burton the kind CM who checked for CRT cancellations Sept 27- Oct 2. WE GOT LUNCH ON 9/29

This is our first trip to Disney World (since we were kids) and our first vacation with our children. I really wanted to take them to the Castle for a magical meal with Cinderella!

Burton was so patient and helpful...what a truly wonderful world this would be if there were more people like the cm's at DW!!

I'm looking for lunch and Dinner times? Anyone know where I can find that infor? When does lunch begin and how long does it run. what is the last reservation. Same with Dinner? We are arriving on the 3rd of October, 2005 and as a surprise I would like to have a late lunch or dinner already booked. (90 days out is tomorrow)

Hope this doesn't sound too stupid, but we have breakfast ressies at Chef Mickey's one morning. Is is possible to leave our vehicle there all day and take monorail into the Park?

Gotta love DU!!! They made my CRT ressies for 8:10 am prior to park opening in sept!! (they did this a couple weeks ago at the 90 day mark) I'm soooo glad I didn't have to deal with the stress of trying to get through myself. Can't wait!

Thank you all for the calling tips! I used the 1, 1 tip and was able to make CRT breakfast reservations without much waiting. (ARs for 8:10 and 8:20) Without the DISboards I would never have gotten them. It is early rising for me (4:45 AM MST) to make the 7 AM EST call. So thank you so much as I've been able to get back in bed for some zzzzzzs!

Having done both Cindy's castle (breakfast character meal) & dinner, as well as the Norway princess breakfast, I can honestly say the norway breakfast was MUCH better. While Cindy wasn't there, my almost 3 year old (at the time) didn't care - there were enough other ones there that she was happy. The food was better - less fried stuff, and it wasn't as crowded. Having said that, I'm glad we've done the Cindy's breakfast at least once for the experience & would try to do it again if we could get it, but wouldn't get as stressed out about it like I was last year. Every morning starting at 06:52, my husband & started calling, each on our cell phones & one on our house phone, trying to get in. The last day, we finally got in for an earlier day at 10:20 - had to completely rearrange the rest of our PS's, but not a big deal - it all worked out. Good luck to those who's little princess have their hearts set on the castle!

No. They will give you a 3-hour pass, which is just enough time for breakfast. There are signs stating that resort parking is not intended for park parking.

Park at the TTC and take the monorail to the Contemporary.
