Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Tomorrow is our first chance to try! I really want April 29, but as we'll only be there 3 days, better start the first available! I'm nervous!

Okay guys, really dumb question, but I really need an answer. :teeth: I know that is is almost impossible to get CRT PS's under 20 days out, but can you just walk in and wait or does this particular restaurant only take PS's? I'm guessing so, since there is so much fuss. Thanks in advance and I'm sorry I'm such an amateur! :)

I don't think you can just walk up and put your name on the list, like at a normal restaurant. But, it doesn't hurt to walk up and ask if they have anything available. One morning last Jan., we were looking at the lunch menu at CRT, trying to decide where we wanted to eat lunch that day. The hostess at the counter asked if we needed any help, and we told her we were just browsing the menu. She smiled really big and said, "Well, if you're interested in breakfast, we have a table available right now!". Well, my jaw hit the floor! I said to her, "People go to unimaginable lengths to get a PS for this breakfast, and here you are just offering us a table! Are you serious?". Anyway, we had already eaten breakfast at the resort, and DD had already been to the PSB that week, so we declined (didn't want to spend all that money on a breakfast we wouldn't eat!). I'm sure it helped that we were there during a slower time, but it can't hurt to ask if they have anything available; you might get lucky!

Got our PS this morning! I was on hold for a few minutes but she said she had a 9:55 so I took it! I was hoping for a later time so it could kind of serve as our lunch.

I was dreaming about it all night and kept waking up to see if it was time to call! :cloud9:

Hi. I have been trying to get ressie for CRT for three mornings now. I tried all the tricks but was unsuccessful. I had to call Disney for my hotel ressies and said BTY transfer me to dining and I lucked out someone had just cancelled. I feel very lucky and just wanted to pass on this message - hey maybe it will work for someone else as well. Good luck. Kristen

last time we were in WDW ('96), seems ancient to me, but we had a buffet (don't even remember where it was) only that it was wonderful-it had everything all our family wanted. Lots of things to choose from...I would love for my DD5 to get to see the Princesses as I am sure this will be her fav, but the rest of the family including myself are picky about different foods. Everyone (the 9 of us-bro, 2sis, mom, dad and my family of four-me, DH, DS14 and DD5) likes different things, I'm curious if we'll have enough to choose from to feel that it was $ well worth it.

Does anyone remember what exactly they let you choose from? I bought 2 books-Birnbaum and Mini Mickey but both don't say a lot. Birnbaum says Featured Items: french toast, eggs, bacon & fruit. But, what else? I'm guessing if pancakes were available they would say, but I know my DD5 will have her heart set on pancakes and bacon. Possibly, me 2 :teeth: .

I know the experience is wonderful from what everyone is saying and the books do say that as far as the setting goes, CRT's the best.

Anyone gone recently and know what else they have? TIA for any & all help.

This will be my kid's 5th trip to WDW and we have never been able to get CRT. I've been trying all week and today was my last chance. I started calling at 6:50 and at 7:10 the dreaded recording came on stating that CRT was probably sold out by now. I continued to hold. Sure enough when the cast member answered it was sold out for today's date-Friday 4/29. I asked her to check for any cancellations going back to April 25th and she found Thursday 4/28 at @ 8:25-a little early for us but I'll gladly take it!!! I'm so excited!!! :cheer2: ::MinnieMo

I am unable to get the tips page to load.

So forgive me...

With the new calling menu for MYW...what is the call process for Cindy's?

I know that in the initial spiel, pressing a button will not get the lady to stop talking...you have to wait for the "to continue"....bla bla bla. This is on the WDISNEY #...is it the same on the WDW DINE #?

You are started off with a fruit cup and the table gets a plate/basket of muffins/biscuts. Then they brought out pre-plated food . Adults got the french toast w/ blueberry topping scrambled eggs and bacon and I think some yummy hashbrown casserole. (getting a bit mixed up with the norway one) . I'm pretty sure the kids got frenchtoast sticks, like the kind from Burger King, bacon and eggs, They came back several times to see if we wanted more. We had early PS (8 ish) and we weren't hungry until around 3 or 4.

I'm sure your DD5 will settle for no pancakes and cinderella, instead of the other way around!!

I have a ressie for Epcot Feb 10th at 8:50 am for 6 people. Is anyone interested? I will wait until tomorrow to cancel so please pm me if you would like this ressie. We will then work out a time.
Thanks
Debbie

I called this morning about 50 times and finally got through at about 7:02. Heard the lady say that CRT was probably sold out, but hung on anyway. When the CM answered, I told her that I wanted a PS on May 1 for three people and she had one at 11am. I was getting bummed being on hold so long but you should have seen me after she told me she had one available! Woooohoooo! I'm so excited! This was the ONE thing I really wanted to do with my dd4 and I'm so excited that we got one! :)

I sure appreciate the info...

I'm sure she will--now if I can convince the rest of the family (namely my dad who ONLY does basic foods) :)

Thanks again!

Thanks to the advice of Diznut84, I got my reservations this morning and it was my first try! Thank you so much, for making the dreams of my two DD's 4 and 6 come true! I think you made mine come true too. :cloud9: Thank you, Stacey2grls

I am trying to call tomorrow for the first trip to disney for this reservation. Where can I find what time zone Disney is in ... it is 8:36 here now .
Is there a website to check I think I read that on these boards.
thanks Diane

When trying to get the reservation for Cindy's, does it have to be the person going to the resort who is calling? For instance could I have my mom also trying to call and get a reservation for us?

I would think it would be fine as long as she has the the names, where you are staying, etc and the credit card to put down the deposit. They won't know it's not you.

As the previous poster mentioned you would need to supply your mom with all of your personal info. I would have her use a different cc# than the one you'll be using in case you both get through and get a PS. Of course you'd end up canceling one, but then there won't be too much confusion. Just make sure to know which one the deposit will go on as you now have to present the credit card as well as a photo ID when you check in for the PS. (as a CM told me this morning). I know the ID has been required in the past, but not the credit card.

I was lucky enough to get through this morning. It's been quite a while since we did this breakfast so I thought I'd try to get a PS for our upcoming trip since I was up before 7 today. Pleasantly surprised to get a PS and I know dd will be thrilled.

I was actually on hold for about 5 minutes but got through all the prompts before 7:00 (according to the time of our atomic clock). But, what a pain, I feel so bad for all you guys on the west coast...I could barely keep my eyes opened at this time trying to punch in all the different numbers..LOL!! She actually gave me a choice of 3 different time slots..I took the later of the 3...LOL! :earboy2:

I know I'll miss that walk down Main Street before the park opens but at least we won't have to worry about getting up extra early :earsgirl: Good luck to all trying for tomorrow!

I got May 3 10:55 . Thank you to everyone who posted . I am so excited my first time to disney for me and my family. I couldnt have done it without you guys on this board . You taught me the tricks!
thanks again Just wanted to say to others that I didnt through till 7:10. Afraid she would say they are all gone but no she didnt. :Pinkbounc princess: princess:
