Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Yipee!
I was able to master the 1 1 technique and we have our reservation for 10 am for Oct. 31st early this morning.
I will be calling now to cancel my reservation for 5 for Oct. 30th at
8:05am. Good luck to anyone out there that needs it and THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP! Our 4 year old daughter is going to be thrilled!:Pinkbounc

We got our's 10/28 for 8:15 am. DD1's first trip to wdw I know she cares more about Mickey but I want the picture in front of the castle and the memory of her first trip DS's are 11,5 and 2 all have been there so could care less about CRT but mom's thrilled.

Used the 1/1 shortcut and got 9:45am res for CRT 11/1/04. Thing is I called for the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot! I was trying for the 8:30 am seating so I set the alarm for 5:50am, crawled out iof bed and kept calling until phones opened. I was on hold for a few minutes and then booked the resv. I requested the PSB and she said it back to me and said we would love it. She took all the info (older lady -- nice but slow) and then when she confirmed said CRT. When I corrected her she realized the mistake and said princess and first thing in the am got her confused. She was very nice but by then 8:50 was earliest PS available for PSB so that's what I ended up with. I then had to stay on the line another 5 minutes while she cancelled the resv. for CRT (she had to call someone). I then tried for the illuminations cruise but they were already booked. :(

So, if you book PSB first thing in am make sure they get the right breakfast! :)

pandamom- the cruise is harder to get since less boats go out. Try to do that first!

Now that we are set for our Cinderella's Breakfast for 10/31... we are thinking of making a reservation for the Storybook Breakfast in Norway for when we are in Epcot a few days later. Is this breakfast also difficult to make reservations for... is it a sell out?
Thanks,
Nancyprincess:

It does sell out but not as quickly. I made my reservations at 11am and got 8:30am. I guess it all depends on the day so you may want to call at 7am if you have a perfered time to eat.

Questions... do I call the same number if I am trying to get a PS for 11 people?? Also if a couple in our party don't have Disney admission tickets and we have an early PS (Before park usually opens) can they purchase a one day ticket that day before the PS -i.e. do they sell admission tickets a while prior to the park being open?

Well, good thing we have our reservations for 10/31 for Cindy's breakfast since this morning I tried the 1 + 1 technique for the Storybrook Breakfast in Norway and I couldn't get through. After being on hold for 45 min. I had to split up my party of 5. I will try again tomorrow and then cancel the reservation I made today.
When I called later in the morning to see if there were any cancellations for Storybook... they told me it was SOLD out for 11/4. Wow... but she offered me other dates of our trip.... I wonder why THAT day.
Nancy:confused:

Thanks so much!! Got a table on 11/4 at 8:25. My DDs are going to be bouncing off the walls!! Heck, now I'm too keyed up to go back to bed.

Booked Cindy's this morning but only got party of 4 -- wanted party of 6. CR said I got the last opening and that there were 466 calls in the queue still and she bet they were all for CRT! Thanks for the tips here -- 1, 1 really helped! :)

I love these boards. Thanks to the 1-1 advice I got seats for 11/5 at 8:55am. I was so excited and I owe it all to these boards!! Thanks
:wizard: Here best Wishes for everyone else who is trying!!!

Hi!

My single mom friend has still not been able to get Oct 17 for Cindy's breakfast. If anyone is releasing ressies for that day, PLEASE PM me first. I check my e-mail often.

We just got back from our WDW trip and had a nice experience at Cindy's. My DD has some sensory problems and wouldn't eat anything they were serving. The check sent what he said was "rice krispies" but it was brown puffed rice ... not really the snap krackle pop guys. Then they gave her some "cheerios" which were some organic bumpy "o's" and not real cheerios. She was polite, but wouldn't try any of it. When we got our check, they didn't charge us at all for DD, in spite of the efforts they made to find something she could eat. Another instance of Disney magic!

I got through!!! Ressies for 11-6 for 3 at 10:10- our last day there. I was starting to get really depressed there for a while. I've always wanted to eat in the castle (I'm sure my 6 yr old DD might also enjoy it!) I'm going to surprise her with CRT and Princess Tea the day before. Her first time got to WDW! I have ressies for Norway Princess breakfast for 4 on 10-31 that I'm trying to switch to 11-1. If anyone knows of cancellation for 11-1, let me know, or needs ressie for 10-31 let me know-send me a pm. Good luck-and it did seem easier to get through on Sunday.:wave2:

donkeysleuth - Congrats!!!! There is no "might" in that sentence... Your daughter WILL love it!!! She's at the perfect age. Have a great time!

;)

Help!!! I'm going to try and call this week for CRT during our trip, and I'm not sure what the 1-1 technique is. Can someone please explain. I don't have time to read all 74 pages!!! (I am aware of the PS process - just want to make sure I get these reservations.)

THANK YOU!!!! (in advance)

Basically, you just dial the 1-407-WDW-DINE number beginning at about 6:57 a.m. eastern time, and if you get a recording that says they are closed, immediately hang up and hit redial. As soon as you get a different recording that says something like "thank you for calling Disney Dining, we are glad you called", immediately hit 1. As soon as the next recording starts, hit 1 again, regardless of what it asks you. It should take you straight to a representative, or straight to being put on hold. If you go on hold, don't hang up and try again. You will lose your place in the queue.

Hope this makes sense, and good luck!

Now im confused..reading the tips from the first page it says that you can no longer hit #1. I thought i had it all sorted out in my head as to what I had to do!!! Please help:sad1:
