Hi guys, I'm new to this forum though i have been looking around for most of the year. Not sure if this is the right place for the post to go but feel free to move it if it is not!

As you guys seem experts i was wondering whether you would be kind enough to help me.

Me and my girlfriend have been together for 4 years now and have booked to go away to Florida for two weeks next year at the end of april to start of may.

As we have been together for 4 years, and given how much she loves Disney, it feels right to propose to her.

She loves Cinderella's Castle and i have come across the Cinderella's Royal engagement which i think will be amazing.

I am worried however that i may not get a table booked as it is a popular restaurant even though we are not going peak time (23rd April - 7 May) i still assume it will be busy.

I assume with the Royal engagement package that this does not allow you book further in advanced?

If not do i have any chance of booking 180 days in advanced especially as onsite Disney guests get 10 days ahead of me as i am staying at US Cabana Bay.

I will be devastated if i cannot propose like this, so i was wondering if you know of any hint or tips that can help me.

Thank you for your help, anything is much appreciated!

Ross.

Hi Ross,
Welcome and congrats (a little early)! Unfortunately, the package doesn't allow you to book further in advance, to my knowledge but it may be worth calling the special events number to inquire (the same # you'd use to book the package). Your best bet is to be up and ready to secure a reservation as soon as you're able to book. If you don't get a reservation, stalk the website for cancellations. They're rare but do pop up! Of course, you could try calling and explaining your situation; sometimes CMs are able to work some magic but if the restaurant is totally booked there isn't much they can do.

As difficult as it is to hear, a backup plan may be best (just in case!). The new Be Our Guest restaurant is GORGEOUS and would be another fitting castle for a proposal! ;) You could also consider proposing on a fireworks cruise, carriage ride, in front of the castle, etc.

I truly hope it works out! I'm sure she'll be thrilled regardless. If we can help, just ask!

That is amazing information thank you. My best chance is to ring up as soon as my 180 mark is on. Thanks again, that has really helpful, fingers crossed!

I know some people don't like these services and I've personally never used them, but adr sniper and disney dining buddy are paid non-disney services that constantly crawl the disney dining site for dining openings. Then they alert you when your chosen restaurant has an opening.

Just an FYI with the opening of Be Our Guest Cinderella's Royal Table has been a lot easier to get in to, especially for dinner. I really don't think you'll have a problem as long as you book on your first available day.

Cinderella's is a weird one. It has a reputation of getting fully booked at the 180 day mark, and yet I've seen availability two weeks in advance before now. I know time of year will be a factor, but it's not as hard to book as say BOG, or even Akérshus breakfast.
My DF proposed at Cinderella's Royal Table on our anniversary. The amusing thing is, I had booked the table! He rang up and added the proposal package at a later date.
I'm sure you will get a dinner reservation, but if you don't then don't panic. Disney is great at pulling off proposals, and the cast members will help you out in whatever way you nee most of the time. However you propose, being at Disney will make it magical enough!

I really don't think you'll have trouble.

Honestly though, it might be more romantic to propose during the fireworks in front of the castle, or on the castle walkway. Maybe let a photo pass photographer know what you've got planned so thy can be ready to capture it.

Thank you for all of your comments it has made me feel a little more at ease. I have done a few trial runs of booking the table and looks like you are all right the BOG is the most popular which could potentially work in my favour.

Vikki, i have seen that too that the Royal Table have tables available.

I am more inclined to book for breakfast at the CRT however am willing to take any reservation to be honest. I have heard that breakfast is the hardest to get?

Thanks for your help!

Ross.

Ross a pre-park open breakfast would be challenging but any other time of day should be fairly easy.

Thank you, I'm willing to take any time breakfast and lunch to be honest!

Thanks for your input.

Ross.

Congratulations! My now husband proposed to me at breakfast at CRT in December 2013. It was beautiful, and they had a special PhotoPass photographer there to take pictures of everything. :) Make sure you save room for the dessert they bring you, though! I was so full that I couldn't eat the chocolate slipper and crown they brought out for us. Haha.

I think it worked out well that he proposed at breakfast because he was nervous, and that way he didn't have to worry about carrying the ring around all day. No matter what or when, it will be magical. :)

This was the special dessert brought for us after DF proposed in 2011. It was dinner, and we had one each, and nether of us could finish it!
Also, make sure you get memory maker, as the special photographer (not a standard photopass one) will take loads of photos of the ring, of the proposal, and of you both afterwards.

Awesome, thank you for your help, that slipper looks delicious! I will be devastated if i can't book it. i will just make sure i am online on the 30th October!

We had more choices of times for dinner In The first week of may then breakfast. For crt. I couldn't wait to pop the question when I got to the world so I rushed her into see mickey and asked. That night we had a nice celebrations dinner at crt and we're going to enjoy fireworks from our balcony at blt but things changed so we didn't get to see the fireworks.

Another great option with better food would be calafornia grill dinner adr around 8pm and time it for the fireworks

Even for dinner, right before wishes is great too! I like the darkened vibe to the castle then.....as long as you see wishes another night from outside the castle (because well, wishes isn't a great view from there, but the romantic-ness of the restaurant and fireworks at the same time are great!)
