**Cinderella's Honeymoon**AKL**DxDDP**A Magical Time**

Awww yay two updates in one day!!! Or at least I read them both today:) Hurray for finally arriving at the resort and having a savannah view upgrade...what great luck for you and df!!! Did you make the just married door hanger or did they put it there for you? I was just wondering b/c we're be honeymooning here and I was curious. I can't wait to hear more, but for now I'm going to go to bed. :goodvibes

We bought the hanger from a website www.bridestuff.com - It was really cute :-) They have another one that says "happily every after" in the shape of a castle!

Congratulations on your wedding! Sounds like you are off to a great start on your honeymoon. I too am a 2008 South Carolina bride in Columbia. We are honeymooning at POFQ the first week of June. I'm super excited :goodvibes
Give us another update soon!

Sorry for the delay everyone -- having internet probs at our house :headache: Soooo.... where were we??? Oh yes, we had arrived at the lodge and were in our room.

So, after examining our room head to foot for hidden mickeys, animal guides, mickey soap, ect... DH says he is starving, so we decide to head to The Mara for a quick bite to eat. We go down to The Mara and both order a double bacon cheeseburger, fries, and fill our refillable mugs with coke. I also picked up a package of zebra domes :goodvibes which were to die for. After getting our food we found a nice table near the pool and decided to eat there. We sat down and were greeted by all sorts of birds who really liked to stare while you eat...and beg for fries.... Kinda freaked me out at first, as did the two rabbits that hopped out in front of me on the sidewalk as i was walking to the table. But HEY... this is the ANIMAL kingdom lodge after all, so I should have expected it. We sat down and began eating. DH exclaimed that it was the best hamburger he had ever eaten... I agreed it was good, but maybe not the BEST!! He probably just thought that because he was so excited to be in WDW and he hadn't eaten since about 6am and by that time it was after 3pm. We finished our lunch and sat contemplating what to do next. I had planned each day basically minute by minute but all that sorta went out the window when we arrived because it finally hit me that we were on our honeymoon and MARRIED and touring plans and TGM didn't really matter to me and that point... So, we decided we would go to EPCOT first. We went back to the room and I grabbed my bag and we headed to the bus stop. We only waited for about 4 minutes when an Epcot bus pulled up. Upon entering the bus we were immediately congratulated (this became routine with each bus driver, which was really nice). We were only on the bus for about 10 minutes and then arrived at Epcot.

OK OK OK OK -- I know I know I know.... I have been doing really short, sporadic updates lately.... But i'm soooooooo busy.... More later, promise!

yes more later please!!!! We're almost to a park I can't wait!!! I just updated mine too after not updating for about a week. I am going to try to have it finished by sunday night, which is reasonable since I am on the last day, but breaking it up bit by bit. Can't wait to hear about epcot.:goodvibes

Oh, don't worry, I can eat a little of this while I wait....popcorn:: :rotfl:

can't wait to hear more, whenever you have the time to share. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. :thumbsup2

OK, so we wander around MCO until we find a sign that reads "this way to Disney's Magical Express". When we see this sign, this is me - And this is DH - :cool1: We go down the escalator, turn the corner, and see a line a thousand miles long. OH MY GOSH.... NO WAY!!!!! Suddenly, this is me - :scared1: and this is DH - :headache: A CM quickly ushered us to the line and told us to have our magical express info out and ready. I was thinking, yeah.... there's 200 people in front of us.... and I need to start looking for my stuff now why??? We figured we would be in line for over an hour and started to get a little agitated.... We were pleasantly surprised however when the line quickly diminished. We were in line no longer than 20 minutes and were being told where to go to wait for the bus. There was no one in line for the AKL/POP/CS bus yet, so DH and i took our spot at the front of the line. The CM there struck up a conversation with us and the surrounding people started playing 20 questions with us about our wedding. Shortly a line began forming behind us and within 15 minutes our Magical Express bus had arrived. We made our way out of the airport and were suddenly met by 70 degree weather. We were both in long sleeves, long pants, and jackets.... YES YES YES!!! We are NOT in 35 degree South Carolina anymore!!! Once we had settled in onto the bus, everyone around us began congratulating us and asking us questions about our wedding. We even met really young couple on our bus who were honeymooning at the POP. I intently watched the Disney Welcome video being played while DH rambled on and on about wanting to live in Florida because of the gorgeous weather. After driving for what seemed like four hours (yes, I am a three year old when it comes to traveling :confused3 ) we saw this glorious site!!!

WooHOOOOOOO - We are here - at Disney - for the first time - AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...more later...

When I saw the pic :sad1: . Maybe I should unsubscribed to this thread. Dec 6, wedding day, and Dec 7 Disneymoon, can't come quick enough.

Thanks for being detailed about ME. I can warn DFI ahead of time now.

hope your having a great weekend! Can't wait to hear more! Hopefully you stop having net problems soon. :goodvibes

Sounds like a scene from Snow White where she's greeting all the animals. That *is* Snow White, isn't it? Anyway, it sounds really fantastic, magical and sweet.

Your wedding pictures are so pretty! You look so happy in the first close-up of your face and your reception hall looks gorgeous! Congrats!

leveled off I started to feel better. I ate my pretzels and drank my coke and held on to DH for dear life :lmao:

Pretzels??? Are you sure you weren't in First Class! LOL We fly American to Orlando and they do not give out pretzels or peanuts anymore. Although you can buy a can of Lays Stacks for $3! Ummmm no thank you! I'm surprised they haven't started charging for soft drinks! :)

Your wedding photos are beautiful! I love the black on the dress. It really adds elegance. Grats on making it through your first flight!

Ok back to reading the rest of the tread. I can't wait to hear more!

Ok I'm starting to think Disneymooner2008 works for a Soap Opera or a TV Drama....shes good at leaving us hanging :) heheh just kidding

Do you have a closer picture of the just married door hanger. I'd love to see it up close :)

Ok back to reading....

Strwlady - No, no, no... No Soap Opera works here.... Just one with a really sucky internet connection lately :confused3
Here's a pic of the door hanger - it was super cute!!

Thanks for the comment a/b my dress - however it was navy, not black. Same color as my bridesmaids dresses. It does look black in all of my pics however!!!

And nope.... no first class for us...

OK, everyone - net is working today and I'm home with the flu  So there should be quite a few updates on both my dining report (which i haven't updated in over a week) and my TR :cool1:

:yay: for updates, but :sad1: for the flu  I can't wait to read some udpates. Hopefully you are feeling better soon!

So we get off of the bus from AKL to EPCOT and walk towards the gate. DH gets out our tickets and we proceed to get my bag checked and then on we go. Once we had actually entered EPCOT a CM pulls us aside and says we have a phone call :confused3 Ummm ok..... So I get the phone and put it between DH and I and then we hear Mickey and Minnie congratulating us on our marriage. How sweet!!! What a great way to start our first day at WDW :thumbsup2 We of course stopped right in front of the HUGE Epcot ball and asked someone to snap a pic for us.

We proceed and try to determine what our very first ride at WDW should be.... Hmmm... the DH sees this glorious sight and of course goes nuts.

Amberpicplane143.jpg

The standby time for Test Track was 45 minutes and truthfully I wanted a classic ride for our first ever Disney ride, but I said ok ;) So our first every ride was Test Track. I must say it was a blast!!! DH liked it so much we rode 3 times in a row :) I however thought it got a little old after the first 2 times.

Next we backtracked a little and rode Spaceship Earth. I was really interested to ride this because everyone here on the DIS said that after the refurb it basically sucked. Well, truth be told both DH and I really liked it!! Maybe it was the fact that we have never ridden the old version, or maybe some people are just being to harsh :confused3 I dunno.... Regardless, we really really liked it!!

A really cool shot I took :thumbsup2

Ok, so we only had about 2 hours at Epcot on our first day before it was time to head over to the GF for dinner at Citrico's. We headed on out of the park and hopped the monorail to the TTC. At the TTC, we boarded the resort monorail and were on our way to the GF.

That is SO SWEET! How cool. I hope you're feeling better. Keep those updates a'comin'! :)

Yay for finally visiting a park!!! Sounds like you guys are off to a great start! We haven't rode test track yet and we've been twice together and a few times with our families before we knew each other. Some day I'll get the courage to go on test track. I chickened out on both trips with df. Can't wait to hear more!!!
