Our wedding was over.... it was beautiful.... but it was over... What's next???? Why DISNEYWORLD of course!!!!! DH and I stayed at a beautiful resort in Charlotte, NC on our wedding night and had arranged for a 6am wake-up call from the concierge so as to not miss our 9:10 flight. We however were wide awake at 4am and decided to go ahead and get up. We got up and got dressed and headed out to DH's car that was decorated by his groomsmen and my father.

All of a sudden our trip took a turn for the worse.... DH realized he had left his
crocs at our reception hall...... 1 hour away.... He was heartbroken

But hey, life moves on, right??? We thought about going and buying some for him, but then remembered that nothing is open at 5am... Normal people are sleeping at that time... I told DH we would get him some once we got to Disney and he agreed (little did I know all they had was the mickey crocs

) So, DH and I left our hotel about 5am... WAYYYY too early, but HEY!!! We were excited!!!! We drove around for about 30 minutes looking for somewhere to get a cup of coffee and finally stopped at McDonalds. We walked in, me in my Just Married outfit with my hair still pinned and curled from my stylist using a gallon of hair spray. We ordered a couple of gravy biscuits and 2 cups of coffee and sat down for our first breakfast as a married couple

After we finished it was back into the car and off to the airport. As soon as I spotted the airplanes taking off my stomach started flipping..... We parked and took the shuttle to the airport. We went to check-in and obtain our boarding passes and found out that there were no seats together available..... WHAT????????

You mean to tell me I have to sit ALONE on my first flight ever????? WHAT??????????? DH calmly explained to the flight checker-inner person that I was terrified and we HAD to sit together!! She told DH she was sorry, but all seats were taken.... GREAT.... JUST GREAT..... Now I'm dying... After getting our boarding passes, and going through security, we found our gate and settled back to wait....for 1.5 hours.... UGGGG.... HURRY UP!!!!!! DH went and got us both starbucks which helped a little but my nerves were getting the best of me.... Around 8:30am we started boarding the plane. Our seats were 4 rows from the back (UGGG) and on the same row. DH asked the lady sitting beside of him if his wife could please switch with her because she was terrible scared and she agreed (THANKS SO MUCH WHOEVER YOU WERE!!!). I was ok until they started talking about oxygen masks and using your seat cushion as a flotation device.... I mean COME ON!!! It's like they are TRYING to freak you out.... So we made our way to the runway and then our pilot let us know there were 14 planes in front of us, so we would be a little delayed. Here's a pic DH took while we were in line to take off.
Finally, it was our turn to take off. It wasn't QUITE as bad as I had expected, but I certainly didn't care for it... My ears hurt terribly and I had just gotten over a sinus infection and the pressure was not nice.... Once we leveled off I started to feel better. I ate my pretzels and drank my coke and held on to DH for dear life

Here's two pics I took while heading from Charlotte, NC to Orlando, FL - our flight took about 1 hour and 15 minutes from take off to landing.

Once we got off the plane in Orlando we pulled our wedding mickey ears out of our carry-ons and put them on our heads. Immediately we started getting LOTS of looks and congrats and "awwww how cute" from EVERYONE. We found a map of Orlando Airport and started the quest to find the Magical Express.
