Sorry to do this again (I asked for Soarin' earlier!) but could someone tell me what Cinderellabrations is all about? Is it a show or ride?

Performed live, several times a day on the Castle forecourt stage in the MK. Features: Cinderella and her Prince, the "King", a page, eight dancers, 4 male, 4 female, The fairygodmother, guests - Jasmine and Aladdin, Snow White and her Prince, Aurora and her Prince, etc. This show was originally done in Tokyo, and there is done as a big once and evening show, after dark. It has not gottne the rave reviews here that it did there. I am not a fan, but that is just my opinion. I just don't think they have any of those great catchy tunes you keep on humming the rest of the day - I like that in a Disney show.

The costumes are very beautiful and elaborate! It's neat to see so many people on stage at one time.

Um Catchy tune...
:rolleyes1
Cinderella.....you're as lovely as your name....cinderella.........
Oh yes it goes through your head over and over and over again......

Yes, that's about right.

Its one of those musical shows where people leave the performance "whistling the costumes".

(Old Broadway joke, but true here.)

Where is the best place to stand for this to get a good view? How long before it starts do you get your spot?

It's a very good show. I like it a lot. It's nice getting to see all the princesses and their princes together at the same time. Plus, it's very festive.

DH saw it twice (I sent him to get a good spot, then never made it over after waiting forever in line at Ariel's grotto......then we happened upon it on our way into MNSSHP(halloween party at MK).....was nice, pretty, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. We were walking past and just stopped on our way into Fronteirland, I think, on a bridge....got a good spot. Then again, on Sat AM as we were leaving I stopped to get an ice cream, was eating it in the shade near the cart, and was able to see it just fine.

it is a MUST if you have a princess fan in the family. We saw this show 5 or 6 times during our trip last June. DD who was 5 at the time just could not pass this up. I think she could have seen every show every day we were ther she loved it so much princess:

You know, it was not until you quoted those lyrics (they are from the title song in the Disney Classic FILM, "Cinderella") that I noticed something STRANGE about them.

Its a major POINT of the Cinderella story that the little "cinder girl" was called CINDERella as a derrogertory name (she was dirty from the ashes and cinders).
The name itself was an INSULT.

Why would such a great song-writing team (and Walt Disney himself) put a SONG in a film that says, "CINDERella, you're as LOVELY as your NAME"... ?

Would we sing, "Hey, BOW-LEGS, you're as lovely as your name"... ?
or, "Tone-Deaf, you're as lovely as your name"... ?
how about, "Four-Eyes, you're as lovely as your name"... ?

I know there's no "-ella" at the end of those, but still, of all the things to single-out, an INSULT-NAME is a strange thing to compare to a damsels' beauty in a title song.

:goodvibes
