for the big Disney 50th Celebration, they are bringing Cinderellabration to WDW.

I looked up Cinderellabration Tokyo, and this appears to be the huge nighttime show at Tokyo Disney.

I saw some photos posted on 'another disney board' and they look awesome!

Anybody have any idea if this will be replacing 'Wishes'? Anybody happen to have seen both?

Are you sure its coming to WDW and not DL in California? DL in California is celebrating its 50th not WDW.

It is coming to WDW. DL is "gifting" some of its attractions to the other Disney parks.

Seeing as Wishes just debuted last October, it's been extremely well received, and cost a lot of money, I can't believe it's getting replaced. I haven't read that Cinderellabration is replacing anything, actually.

That's good that WDW will be getting some new things too. I doubt if it would replace Wishes either since its so new and so popular.

Thanks!

Donna

Yes, you all mention all the reasons that I was really wondering.

Before I realized that Cinderellabration was the ending night-time spectacular at Tokyo, I was thinking that it would be replacing Cinderella's Surprise. There was once a day-time Cinderellabration. So, perhaps that is what they have in mind.

The photos of this in Tokyo that I just saw are indeed awesome. But I kinda hope that they leave Wishes, and just do the Cinderella Celebration as a major upgrade to Cinderella's Surprise.

Cinderellabration is NOT replacing Wishes. It is the new castle forecourt show that will be presented at MK.

Here is a good description of it:

Cinderellabration, an enchanting musical spectacular direct from Tokyo Disneyland Park. Performed on the castle stage, the show will continue the "happily-ever-after" story of Cinderella with elaborate costumes and a host of favorite characters that bring to life the coronation of this favorite Disney princess.

When will Cinderellabration debut at WDW? Anyone know?

Pat

75 days and counting . . . again!

Good! I'll just cry if I miss out on Wishes!

The likelyhood is that it'll be in May 2005 along with everything else that is part of the DL 50th celebration.

In my Disney Visa Rewards newsletter that I got yesteryday, it talks about all the "trading" of attractions for the big DL 50th. It states that Cinderellabrations will be coming to WDW from Tokoyo, along with Soarin' from DL will be at EPCOT, Lights, Motos, Action! Extreme Stunt Show from Paris will be at Disney Studios, and Lucky the Dinosaur will be at AK. It says Lucky is "the first ever free roaming Audio Animatronics figure." It says that Wishes will go to Paris. It also says something about at WDW later in the celebration year that "Expedition Everest will take guest to thrilling new heights in a runaway mountain train." That is all it says about this Exepition Everest. And then it mentions Hong Kong opening 2005/early 2006.

Unfortunately, it doesn't mention any dates for all this stuff, just that is will be during the "celebration year."

Thought you would all like to know what the article said.

I would be so upset if they ever did get rid of WISHES. :(

I listen to the soundtrack every night on my ipod before I go to sleep and watch my laser etched crystal of the castle light up on the rotating base.

BTW, best purchase ever!!! :cloud9: for botht the soundtrack and crystal.

Okay everyone... before you kiss 'Wishes' good-bye
(temporarily... remember the celebration only lasts so long...)
Disneyland Paris is producing their own version of wishes!

Either Cinderellabration replaces Wishes, or they produce a daytime version of Cinderellabration which would replace Cinderella's Surprise.

I have done a little bit of searching. Nothing seems to show which!!!

I want details!!! Details I say!!!

:D

As I posted above:

Cinderellabration is a new show for the Castle Forecourt stage, it is not replacing Wishes:

Cinderellabration, an enchanting musical spectacular direct from Tokyo Disneyland Park. Performed on the castle stage, the show will continue the "happily-ever-after" story of Cinderella with elaborate costumes and a host of favorite characters that bring to life the coronation of this favorite Disney princess.

I am a CM at MK this is direct from the Cast information page as well as information you can find on various Disney information boards.

So, then why did the Disney Visa newsletter state "In Europe, Disneyland Resort Paris celebrates with the launch of "Wishes," a dramatic musical fireworks show."? That statement implies to me that "Wishes" will not be at WDW sometime next year, after the start of the DL 50th celebration. Sounds like Disney is sending out conflicting information if they are telling CMs one thing and customers another.

Could it mean that "Wishes" will be at both WDW & Paris next year?

I believe I remember reading that Paris will be producing their OWN version of WISHES... This means that they are not necessarily taking WDW WISHES.

Libertybelle... THANK YOU ! I am going to feel sure that Cinderellabration will be a daytime show, instead of the night-time spectacular that it is at Tokyo! ( The one at Tokyo also does take place in their central 'forecourt' area. ) This means the one at WDW would be replacing Cinderella's Surprise, NOT Wishes. It seems that the information quoted would mention 'night-time spectacular' or something like that, if this were going to be the case.

I still feel that this is a big ambiguous... (WHY won't Disney say specifically???) I can see this as being a huge presentation, based at the forecourt.... where Cinderella has a daylight coronation instead of a nighttime coronation. (A similar day-time Cinderellabration was indeed presented several years ago.)

Thanks again!

Well, this is starting to be a little more clearer to me :D . And to be honest I am glad Wishes is staying because I have never seen it and we are planning a big trip to WDW for June '05. So it looks we will be able to see both Wishes and Cinderellabration. :D

wow! i just watched the video preview of that free roaming dinosaur. It looks really impressive and Cinderellabration looks great too!
