We are making the big trip again in September. We are thinking about going to the Cinderella character dinner at the 1900 Park Fare. I would love to get some comparisons from those of you have have been to other character meals. We have previously been to the Liberty Tavern for dinner and found the food not so good. We have also been to the Crystal Palace for lunch and found the food selection nice, the characters good, but the wait outside for your table very frustrating. If you have been to the 1900 dinner, would you go again and is there another character meal you enjoyed more? Thanks for the input.

we just ate there in June for the first time for dinner. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great food and great character interaction. It was quite and the characters came back to our table multiple times. My 2 yr old's favorite character is Suzy the mouse. She would call Suzy from her high chair and inevitably she would come back to hug her. It is the only place we met princess charming. They had yummy mini key lime pies for dessert. Make your own sundaes for the kids. DH loved the prime rib. DD & DH loved the PB & J uncrustables. We thought is was well worth the money and will go back her.

We always eat at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and we love it. But I always feel rushed there for some reason.

It's our favorite character meal and has been for a few trips now... especially since CRT is so hard to get into but honestly we've done CRT once and we like Cindy dinner @ 1900 Park Fare better. :)

Thanks for the reply. My husband will be all over that prime rib.

We are also planning to go to CRT. Do you think the experience was worth it for your child?

Well, we are taking my neice this November, and the idea all started when DH said he'd like to "rent" a little girl so he could eat at that buffet again. We had gone there in October with my sister and her friend (they just HAD to meet Cinderella) wouldn't be to bad except they are both in upper 30's!!! Anyway, one thing lead to another and we will be taking my niece there in November. We think they have the best food at a character meal and plan on trying breakfast there also in November, although we also like CRT. We've also done Chef Mickey (we like allot), Crystal Palace, (so-so) and Cape May (OK).

We LOVE 1900 Park Fare!

I honestly think it has the best food of any character meal. The atmosphere is definately more relaxed and the variety of food is MUCH better than other buffets. You MUST try the strawberry soup...but beware it is addicting!

The character interaction is wonderful and you will not feel rushed. It is not as LOUD as other meals either. I don't know if it is just that people feel they must be on their best behavior at the Grand Floridian or what, but the meal feels nothing like the average character meal.

Please try it - I doubt you will be disappointed.

Thanks for the input! Very helpful. I keep hearing about the Strawberry soup and there is no way I could skip that!

CRT is worth it for a child, but we love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and dinner. DD asks to go to 1900 Park Fare every trip. She Loves Prince Charming! I have us booked at CRT and PSB next week. I do not have anything at 1900 but the tea party, she tells me today she wants a breakfast and a dinner at 1900. I am getting ready to see if I can change some things around for her.LOL

we didn't care for the food, but it was worth it for dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming. Suzi was wonderful to my then 2 year old.

I still love Chef Mickey's for breakfast

My entire family loves 1900 Park Fare (both breakfast and dinner)! CRT is a neat experience and we try to do breakfast there on each trip (the lunch and dinner menus don't really appeal to us). We are big princess fans and love to meet the royalty, but I have to say the atmosphere is much more relaxed at 1900 Park Fare. The fact that the characters come around more than one time is wonderful. I am a very picky eater and I always find plenty of good things to eat at 1900 Park Fare. You can also order special desserts from the GF bakery at 1900 Park Fare. The slippers were a big hit last year for oldest dd's birthday dinner. This year we are going to order the mini-wedding cakes for her birthday. princess:
