Is it just me that finds it inconsiderate to wear jeans to church on easter? I mean their were some people wearing jeans while others were wearing dresses. I mean I understand on regular days [our church is layed back] or on a bible study ground but on a holiday??

I go to church in jeans and a nice aeropostale shirt...today I was forced to wear a dress, but I wore flip-flops with it.. I dont think it is a big deal..

I wear jeans and a polo or some nice/cool shirt. Today I had to wear a button up shirt with a tie. It made me itch...Ugh...

I wore my jeans but you if you were to go to my church you would see it is REALLY laid back. Guys were wearing khaki shorts, girls were wearing jeans. Some parents wore jeans just like every other sunday. The whole point of going to church is to worship God. That's all I really cared about. Worshipping God.

Yes, He loves us. The Bible does say, however, that we should dress modestly. So if you are talking about wearing a stripper's outfit that shows WAY to much it's frowned upon- but yes He still loves you. He just doesn't love the sin.

Yeah I wear jeans to, but since it was a holiday I just thought that it would be more appropriate to dress nice instead of laid back. Almost as a curtiosy?

My church is laid back so it does not matter what you wear. I think God loves you regardless of what you wear

I didnt say anything about God not loving you if you wear jeans. I was stateing that since it is a holiday, we should dress up. Such as not showing cleavage, midreff, wearing short shorts ext....

Well, you shouldn't wear immodest clothing (showing cleavage, etc) when you're in Church. Not on Easter. Just remember who's present in the Tabernacle and you'll know why.

If I believed in god and attended church, then I would definately put an effort into not looking like a slob.

I think it would be disrespectful to a religion to dress innaproprietely at a mass.

I agree! I personally just like dressing up a bit for church, and I wore a dress today...I just feel like it's respectful. However I go to a very laid-back church too, and I've worn jeans to church many times before! I just wear a nice top with it. Now, clothes that have cleavage popping out and stomachs bared (IMO) isn't nice church clothing...It's not a party or a singles bar, it's a place of worship -- but no matter what God still loves you, and it's ultimately the heart He looks at.
