Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

I'm hoping to go on the 24th September till 28th for the EE challenge, a load of the Mom's Panel are going then, depends on $'s though as it costs a lot for the flights. We also have a family trip booked 12th to 22nd December, can't wait :goodvibes

Fantastic photos Chuck I too really like the waterfall one, did you keep the shutter open longer or something?

I asked Chuck what he did to make the waterfall look that way and he said he stopped it! :lmao: Seriously, he lowered his ISO and his shutter time. Hope you understood that!

Looks like we'll miss you again. One of these years we are gonna meet up!!

Day Three Part Five

After our lovely walk around the Tree Of Life and witnessing the results of the childhood trauma know as It’s Tough to be a Bug!, we had some time to kill before lunch so we tried some of the trails we haven’t tried before. Our first had some really cool birds.

There were also some really cool Dream Team members waiting for us as we exited!! We won a dream!! We won passes for a special “extra hour” that evening after the park closed. Yeah!!!! Unfortunately we couldn’t use them because we had reservations at the castle for dinner that night. Nonrefundable reservations. I really regret now we didn’t just forget the castle and go, but that was a lot of money to throw away. We talked about it and decided to give them to Mike at the meet we were going to next and letting him give them away as a prize. (I can’t believe I didn’t at least take a picture of them!)

That’s right. It’s time for another Mousefest meet! This one is gonna be really fun.

Be Our Guest On-The-Air!
Flame Tree BBQ (at the tables in the back)
Come and meet with the crew from the Be Our guest Podcast. We will gather around a couple of tables abd record a show to air upon return from WDW. Join us for the fun!

It was about 11:30 when we headed over, but neither of us had eaten at the Flame Tree before and we weren’t sure where we were going or how long it would take. Luckily, there was a very sweet lady in the line in front of us who saw our Mousefest lanyards and asked us if we were going to Mike’s meet. She said she would wait for us and walk us over. We each got a pork sandwich and onion rings. The portions were huge!! We definitely could have shared! I’m not sure why I didn’t take a picture of the sandwiches but I did take a picture of the drink cup. (I was under the influence of drugs, remember?)

Debbie led us over to a nice area behind the Flame tree where everyone was gathered. I felt kind of strange because not a lot of other people were eating, but we were too hungry to really care.

If you are unfamiliar with the Be Our Guest Podcast, Mike interviews regular people who tell about their stays at WDW. They also have group shows with Mike, Pam, Rikki and Debbie or some combination. It’s a fun show.

Mike came over and welcomed us. Rikki was there as well with her mother. Pam Forester came over and it was so nice to finally meet her. We have used the travel agency she is with for ages and like to think we helped get she and Mike together on the podcast in the first place. She is a sweetie!

Here’s the view from our little gathering.

Mike announced that he was starting the taping. While he was doing his intro, I thought how neat it was to see something live that I have heard him do so many times! He went around and talked to everyone there. Chuck and I were only on for a moment (which is good because of the drug thing) but he spent a good amount of time with our dear Heather. Now you can all hear just how cool she is!

Most of the group he talked to first where on the opposite end from us so we had a chance to eat before our turn. Of course, he had some guests.

This one lady had a terrible time of it. This bird would not take no for an answer.

It was a fun time. We really couldn’t hear the ones over on the other side being interviewed so it was a treat to come home later and get to relive the day. And now you can too. Here’s a link to that podcast episode. Listen for us!!

Thanks to everyone who assited in the protest! Now the trip report is back on track! I couldn't have done it without you!!!

Can't believe we won't meet again this year  Are you ever coming to England? :rotfl:

How fantastic you got on another podcast, I've listened to a few of Mikes podcasts so it's nice to put a face to his name :)

The people united will always have their trip report!

Great Tree of Life pictures! There are some creatures I don't remember seeing before. When people go to the Animal Kingdom and say they are bored or there is not much to see I simply don't understand it.

The Be Our Guest meet was super fun - thanks for sharing the pictures! The whole crew is so nice and so funny and their interactions are hilarious. I actually learned about the podcast from your appearance on it and now it is one of my favorites.

Thanks for getting my day off to a great start!

If we ever get to England, you will be the first person we contact! Chuck wants to go to Ireland sometime in the near future. I'll convince him to hop over. The children, of course, want to go to Wales, because that is where they film Doctor Who. Did you watch the Christmas episode? I don't know when we will ever get it here!:sad2:

You are welcome! I always see new creatures on the Tree of Life. I could look at it all day!

It was great to meet everyone at the Be Our Guest Meet! Maybe we'll do it again someday.

That is so cool that you were able to participate in a podcast!

I will not eat at Flame Tree because of those crazy birds. It really freaks me out that they want my food. I don't really care for birds in the first place and the fact that they eye me like that just creeps me out. :scared1:

Once when my friend Eben and I were eating outside Old Port Royale he said the stalking seagulls were saying, "It would be a shame if somethin' was to happen to that waffle of yours, so just hand it over and no one will get hurt."

What a cool meet! I am behind on my podcast listening but will have to seek out that Be Our Guest episode to hear you, Chuck and Heather! ::yes::

The birds are just out of control all over the parks!! They can be quite aggressive and mean! :scared1:

:rotfl: :rotfl: Oh my, I have to show my sister that picture of the poor lady with that huge bird right by her. We had some duck friends keeping us company when we ate at the Animal Kingdom and we were freaking out over them! I can't imagine what we would've been like with that one! :scared1:

What a great update! Love your pics of the Tree of Life! The ones I took last time came out blurry, not sure why, but they did. :confused3 Your DIS meet looked like a lot of fun. I'm not sure I would've been so calm having that bird with the GINORMOUS beak staring me down!!:scared1:

Beautiful pictures, Lynn, from the Tree of Life -- we really must slow down and examine it in June!

We have never done It's Tough to Be a Bug -- is it that bad?

Fun meet!!! :thumbsup2

Hi,
Just found your tr tonight. Read it (I cheated and only read the links you made) and looks like a great trip so far.

Love all the pics.

Sorry you were not feeling well.

I did that podcast. I think I was # 4 or 8 or 9. :lmao: I cannot remember which one.

Looking forward to more.

That poor woman! She basically had to eat while we took turns scaring off the bird!

Once when my friend Eben and I were eating outside Old Port Royale he said the stalking seagulls were saying, "It would be a shame if somethin' was to happen to that waffle of yours, so just hand it over and no one will get hurt."

I think if you listen to the podcast, Mike gets bitten by one of the ducks. :scared1:

Give the Tree a chance! Really, I think it is like art. Don't do It's Tough to be a Bug! Roaches under your seat, that's all I have to say about that.

I made those links just for you! :thumbsup2

I'll have to go back and find your podcast appearance.

Thanks so much for joining in! Our big night is coming up!!

 :scared1: You know who would really need consoling after sitting through that? Charles. He is terrified of palmetto bugs. Everytime we go to Charleston or Hilton Head, he about has a nervous breakdown -- high-pitched screaming, running with his hands waving in the air, the whole nine yards. :rotfl: He would be the one needing extra hugs after that show. On the other hand, it might be really funny...:rolleyes1 ;)

And who can blame him? You step on those bugs and they just look up at you and laugh!! :scared1: Don't do that to poor Charles! All four of us were traumatized by it. Em went flying across Jake and I right into Chuck's lap during the stinging part. We didn't even feel her move, Boom, she was just over there.

Hurray for page 50!!!!

I have another update, but I am waiting for the 100 day mark to tell you about the worst meal ever!

I just realized we will be at WDW at the same time! We are just a day ahead of you! I can't wait for double digits!

Oh my!!! She was Flyin' Em! Poor baby! Nah, I won't do that to Charles...I don't think I could support his weight if he ended up in my lap.

I am worried about this worst meal ever...:scared:

I am so ready for double digits!! And to make ADRS!! Maybe we'll see you around the parks. :thumbsup2
