Hey folks

Looking for some quick advice. Myself and my partner are looking to visit DLP at the end of the year and plan to stay over the New Year period. Is the park really busy at this time? Is there anything which takes place on New Year's Eve?

Any tips/advice would be most welcome!

Nick

Park will be very crowded until the 2nd of jan ( sunday ) .

They do special dinner shows in the hotels and special christmas / new years eve menues in the park restaurants.. if you decide to go make sure you have reservations for lunch and dinner for your entire vacation !!!!

You will love the decoration and the atmosphere .. i am very sure .. if you can stand the crowds go for it ...

Thanks

I can't decide between going at this time of year or going for Halloween. I was in WDW last summer on 4 July and expected it to be bad and it wasn't so I was kinda hoping for the same!

Thanks for the tip!

I went to DLP just before Xmas in 2003 and the park was empty no long lines, it was fantastic!!

Spent New year 2003/4 there...29th Dec - 2nd Jan and had just as good a time. The park was a lot busier especially on new years eve. we did stay up but set the alarms for the next morning, even though we were tired it was worth it. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as it didnt even begin to start filling up until lunch time. For example, we just walked on to Space mountain at about 9.30am/10am...there was no one in line and the ride operator sent us around three times without getting off!!!!

An added bonus of travelling at this time of year is how beautiful DLP looks, the Xmas decorations are lovely and the parade is nice to, santa and REAL reindeer...its more magical than ever!!!
