This will be our first time to go in December--will be there the second week--what are some things and places that we should not miss? My kids will be 9 and 6---there birthdays are in September but this is their presents. Thanks.
You are going at the prettiest time of the year! The parks are all decorated up and they play Christmas music. If there is a MVMCP while you are there, be sure to go. It costs extra but we really enjoyed it. The resorts are decorated too. be sure to check out the Grand Floridian, it has a real gingerbread house that you can walk into. Epcot has Candlight Processional and one of these days I'm gonna make it over to see that. I hear its great. Have a great time!
Also, in Epcot there are Holiday Storytellers in each country with set performance times. And isn't there a tree-lighting ceremony in Epcot with Cast in Bronze around 5:00? This year's my first trip at that time, and although I haven't yet seen these things, this is what I think I remember.
As Simba'smom said the Holiday Storytellers at Epcot. My kids really enjoyed that. Father Christmas came thru the UK ringing a big bell and led us back thru the street to a little courtyard and told us stories. That was my favorite.
Epcots Candlight Processional I could listen a little....this is something you need to get to early to get a seat. Wayne Brady was doing it night I was there. Oh and the chior was wonderful.
Epcot is not to be missed at night.
Being your first time your going the best time. Our first trip was Dec 2001 and we're going back Dec 2003. We we're out from the time the parks opened til close and still didn't do and see half of what Disney has to offer. There's just so much.
