No we are staying with family at a condo.

Remember to pack your patience with you, and hold onto it while at the parks. It will be very, very busy. Expect waits up to two hours (or more) for major rides... at both Universal and Disney. If you can afford it, I'd suggest getting Express Passes for Universal, or to stay on-site for a night to get two days worth of unlimited Express Passes.

Absolutely. It will be extremely busy during your dates. At the very least get Express. But one night at any on-site will get you 2 days of unlimited Express.
