Christmas vs. Expedition Everest???

When would you go....1st week of December when DW is decorated for Christmas or late February/early March when Expedition Everest is open (hopefully)?

We have a mid-December trip planned and are hoping to ride Everest then. From what I've read/heard, they should be in soft opening this December (if everything goes on schedule). Crossing my fingers!

I would go with Christmas. You don't know for sure when EE will open. There could be delays, etc.

I too have to say go Christmas....the decorations are awesome..this is our 3rd Christmas time trip in a row and I can't wait. Like others have said, you don't know what delays there could be with the opening of EE while it's a give that the Christmas decorations will be up. I'd go Christmas and catch EE on the next trip.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't think about the possibility that EE might not be open in Feb. I passed your advice on to my DH and I think we're heading to DW in Dec.

Any other opinions???

IF your going in Dec...see about staying at the WL. I am sure they will have discounts and you will not be disapointed.

We postponed our Easter trip to may just to make sure EE is open so defineltley go in December, I think Feb. is cutting it too close.

I would definately go in December. We are going in Dec. It will be my 2nd time in December and I am SO looking forward to it. It is so beautiful at DW in December and I didn't even make it to MK last time I was there (so I will definately be stopping there this time)

I know there are rumors that EE may have soft openings but all of the official word says that it will open Spring of 2006 so I think it would be pushing it for it to open in Feb.

I am hoping it will open before May because my DH's seasonal pass will expire in May and I know we want to both ride it and get another trip together (I go more often then him)

Looks like we're going to get to see the Christmas Decorations this Dec! We are so excited! We sat and talked about our past DW experiences last night and we can't wait! Thanks for all the advice! Now we have to decide where we want to eat! Always planning....
