I saw on another post that there is a WDW Florist that you can order a Christmas Tree from. I looked on the website and they look wonderful, but big. Next December when we will hopefully be in a GV I will order one of those, but they look pretty big to fit into a 1 bdr. They are 4ft tall.

Any suggestions on either how to get a smaller tree or if there is enough room in a 1 bdr for the 4ft tree?

We had one of the Disney Florist trees in our one-bedroom at VWL last December. They are not that big - the 4' includes the container. It fit nicely in the room and was very cute. We put it on the table in the living/dining room area.

That is very helpful information. I was concerned that it would be too big for the 1 bdr. Now that I know it won’t overwhelm the room, I will order one this year. Did you have to be in the room when it was delivered or was it set up when you got there? Did you ship it home?

We were not in the room when it was delivered. We spent the day in a park and when we returned to the room it was there, all set up. It was a little surprise for the DKids.

We had wanted to have the tree shipped home, so that we could enjoy it this year, but there was a little mishap. Disney Florist did pick up the tree from our villa, but lost track of it after that and we never got it. However, this is not a complaint about Disney Florist - they were wonderful about it. It was really an isolated instance, as they sold thousands of trees last year (they sold out after that Food Network TV special) and shipped them to people without incident. They apologized all over the place, gave us full credit for the price of the tree, and sent us a lovely gift basket at home (like the ones on their web site) to make up for it. Although we were disappointed not to get the tree, we thought that they handled it well and would not hesitate to use Disney Florist again.

Thank you very much. I think we are going to do it this year. I just love the tree.

I bought that tree in 2000; shipped it home and am planning on shipping it down for our Christmas in the BWV this year,

Hint on shipping: if you're buying the tree, do not let them toss the box out, keep it, re-box it and ship it from the lobby of the hotel to your home. It'll cost about $18 well worth it. That's what we did and it arrived safe and sound.

Thinking about buying one this year to surprized DW.,
