I ordered a week or so ago and I LOVE it. Its so great. I have wifi, so I can check e mail and Facebook with a push of a button. The colors are beautiful, and oh, the whole e reader of its pretty cool too! lol It comes with a stand because you can download pics to it and make it a digital picture frame. Wel worth the money and it is Barnes and Noble Compatible. LOVE IT!!!!
Kids just got Moon dough. Circus Peanuts for sure! (and I can't believe I ever ate something that consistancy lol) and they like it ok. You can mix colors like play doh. Not bad.
Ed, thanks for the heads up on the Nook. Just ordered it for hubby and can't wait to give it to him for Christmas. He is a huge reader and travels a lot, so this is soooo perfect for him.
49 days left people!!!! AHHHHH
Sweet! Glad to hear it helped! That was a pretty darn good deal. The new nook is right on the horizon, but, it's also 150% more at 250..... soooo....
Hmm. I hadn't seen those. When checking it out on
Walmart's site it also showed a "dune buggy" version that will go over "rougher" terrain. I'm wondering if that might be an option. I'd rather have him tooling around the back yard than our street even though we DO near the end of a cul de sac. I'm not sure he is big enough to work it. He is the size of a large four year old/ small to average five year old...I guess the only way to know would be to find one in a store and let him sit in it. I wouldn't want to buy only to find out he was dwarfed by it and couldn't operate it.

I didn't need to know how many days are left LOL That is not enough and I'm nearly DONE!! Time to take a chill pill.
If you get it, please, let me know what you think. I'm REALLY thinking that might be what Santa gets (or something like it) for my youngest. I need to read about it to see if he is too young (5 1/2) for it, but, it looks really cool and I know he would love it. He tried one of those go-kart controlled environment things and just kept getting back in line.
ED! STOP with the great suggestions! LOL DH has been wanting a Kindle or a Nook. Is this worth it? He always wants the latest and greatest but wondering if he would be happy with this over not getting one at all... Does this one get wi-fi or come with any books?
...
I think its sold out now, but, yea, that was the original nook ... There are free ones out there, but, it's typically classical works, not current NY best time sellers.
It honestly could come back again. Just keep an eye on the B&N seller over at Ebay that was selling that one!
I'd almost expect it to come back ot be honest again before the season is up. But no inside info, just a best guess seeing as the new one is coming out and they need to blow through old stock / open box / etc. It's actually probably not a bad way to try to get a better-than-refurb "refurb" if you know what I mean?
Ebay has it on every page! 49 days. ACK!
Ed - I ordered the Nook. Sounds like a great deal and DH won't be expecting it. Thanks for the tip.
I need to stay away from this thread!
Never mind the above then. Cool.
Well, you let me know how it is then!
Hey ED!!! I missed the Nook 99.00 deal.....was waiting till this morning to ask my Dh about getting it for his 19 year old dd and they were gone! LOL Do you know of anywhere else? Anyone know of a good deal coming up on BF?
What is the Nook download for the computor? Is it free?
I'm also in need of a Cricut or Silhoute (sp) for a really good price if anyone knows of a sale coming up on those
Keep up folks and you'll have done all my shopping for me!

Like I was saying, I bet it will be back again. Just keep an eye on that same seller and see what happens.
Any suggestions on a spy kit?
DS9 wants spy gear really bad, but I don't want to get "junky" spy gear but also don't want to break the bank....suggestions?
The JAKKS Pacific lineup is probably the bigger known of them all in the toy aisle. They have that whole spy gear line.... which includes that camera watch ....
The Nook download for the PC is free but you still have to pay for your eBooks and stuff like that!
What (s)he said. You can get Nook, Kindle, etc for the computer, iPod/iPhone ... even though they make hardware solutions, they will still gladly take your money through other methods! How great are they
In the past there have been some very good deals on the Cricut on Black Friday. I think ACMoore had a pretty good bundle deal last week, I looked for the flyer but I don't have it anymore. I would keep checking the flyers for ACMoore, Hobby Lobby and Michaels.
I got my ds the air hogs helicopter with the camera (not really spy gear I know) and now I'm thinking I may return it for the watch that is a camera, he mentioned that he thought it was really cool. I hate to get it and it be junk, it seems like every spy gear/equipment thing that we already own is.
I thought I was done but realized I am one short for my youngest, I think I'm going to get him the paper jams drum set tomorrow and then I'll be completely done with my kids.
I checked out the air hogs helicopter ... we did a review on it.
Here's my SHORT version.
If you are familiar with the older air hogs indoor flyers, and, you are happy with the quality and flight.. You won't be disappointed in that. It's the same exact thing. Same thing. Works the same way as the older models.
Now, throw a small old-school webcam on board and is that enough to make it worth it. Depends I guess.. For me, it was. The quality is decent (you wont be wanting to watch it on an 106" HDTV, but, you probably know that going into it). There is no audio, so that should be noted.
But, the video frames per second are VERY nice so there is no choppyness.. it looks like a good fluid video. It's small, because the resolution is small.. but, again, you have to take into consideration the price of the toy. It also takes still pictures. You take the pics and videos off just like you would hooking up a camera the PC/Mac.
All in all, it's a lot of fun. Like I said -- it's two questions.
1 - do you like the air hogs of old?
2 - would the one you are buying for go nuts over the idea of having a camera on it? it DOES work. its lower end quality resolution wise, but, the overall quality is very respectable. and, like i said it does work.
But, it is ~60 bucks.
Phew.
Hope that helps.
And there are... reviews of it out there with pics and stuff.
Last year my DS bought a set at Walmart, we think the brand was Spy Gear. It had a dart gun thing that went around his wrist and a couple other accessories. He loves it and still plays with it, it's held up well. HTH, I'm sorry I can't remember more details.
We've been trying to get the attention of JAKKS Pacific, but, we just haven't connected yet. If we do, we'll be taking a look at the entire spy lineup from them this year.
Spy watch inlcuded (which I am dying to see!)
