So that's it for my kids!! Now onto the grown-ups:santa:

My shopping list is fairly short. We too have decided to scale WAY back.

DS's 14 and 17 will get new cell phones and $$

DH, thinking about a NOAA Weather Radio

DM, DSF, DFather, UndearSM, DGM, DSGM, DGreatAunt will all get a card stating that this year we donated to a Ronald McDonald House near where DS 17 goes to the Shriners. Last I started donating to a cause close to us when from the adults! I did not get a thank you. I made gloves and scarves. Was I PO'ed!! Decided never again would I give to them. There are children out there who need and are much more thankful for what little they get.

Will send out Christmas Cards with pictures of the boys though. :santa:

I have several things for my 2.5 yo daughter. She is a getting a "Make Believe Box". I have 2 princess dresses (from Etsy.. made out of calico cottons) and a 3rd on the way. She will get Aurora, Belle and Jasmine with matching doll dresses. I am going to buy a couple pairs of shoes from the Disney store hopefully after Halloween.

She will get an AG doll. A friend and I are splitting a set of Bitty Twins.

I have a B&B tea set from Ebay and a few other things.

So far, nothing for my 15, 16 & 19yo sons.

8Ears---I love the "undearSM"! Ha! I have NEVER seen that before--but man, some steps are just really bad aren't they!!!? I know there are some really great ones, but when you get one that's a doozy~ look out!
Thanks for making me laugh!!

FP Kid Tough camera (ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS ONE? Junk or Decent? :confused3 )

JUNK, this is just my two cents. We bought this camera for my son the first year it came out. The quality of the pictures are very bad. I have read other people say the same thing about this camera and they are buying cheap good quality camera's for their kids instead. My son loves to take pictures like I do so he always wants to use my camera. I was really disappointed with the camera. He has hardly used the camera and still wants to use my camera.

New Buzz

That's all I can come up with off the top of my head.Oh and I want a baby for Christmas :wizard:

We're buying a new Buzz this year too. My ds broke Buzz's arm last week- just like in the movie  And good luck with the baby for Christmas!

Wow good for you! I'm jealous I can't say check on much yet:sad2: .

DH, thinking about a NOAA Weather Radio

This was on my list for my dh's Bday which is in Jan during our WDW trip- the only good thing I could come up with- and darn it if he didn't go out and buy one this week b/c of TS Hanna.

JUNK, this is just my two cents. We bought this camera for my son the first year it came out. The quality of the pictures are very bad. Thanks for the input. I read some reviews the other day and it's helpful to hear from someone that had one. Too bad it stinks- my ds loves taking pics. Perhaps I'll just waste a few bucks on a disposable one he can use at WDW.

I'm just staring to buy my kids gifts. We are doing christmas a bit differant this year after last years huge one. We are only getting one piece toys.

I already bought:
ds all share the big gifts so no one fights: 8 nintendo sp games, 2 gamecube games, one $40 wii game, dance dance revalution mat,I'm going to go and get bats, gloves, soccerball, football etc. I also usually buy a few movies and a new sweater for all of them.

DD I bought her a jeep stroller to go with a middleton doll I want to get her ( at a low cost of $100:rotfl2: )

I'm also going to give them a small amount of $$ for boxing day to the boys.

My niece's I bought:
Disney stationary sets( from claires and they are fully loaded) purses and sterling silver earings . The baby I bought a light and sound toy to go on the crib and a silver spoon. The 18 month old: a kit to paint her room and her fist barbie:)

My only Nephew I bough him 4 long sleeve t's ( he really doesn't need toys!)

I'm buying my DH a gps.
My family I don't buy much but I did get my dad a sweater, mom a craft cart, my sister a really nice candle holder set, the men a really neat hacksaw set ( as seen on tv :happytv: ) Women a box of soaps that look like chocolate so much they make me want to eat them:rotfl:

We celebrate Hanukkah, which is a much smaller gift-giving holiday than Christmas. Our son, who is 3, will be getting spoiled by my in-laws who have already stockpiled a bunch of Thomas stuff. We'll be doing small gifts like DVDs and books. Also, we are going to WDW on Jan. 2, so I think he might get a pin/lanyard set and an autograph book.

We send food baskets to our families each year, but they are joining us at WDW, so maybe we'll do something related to that.

Well I can mark Buzz off my list.We found a Stars & Stripes Buzz Lightyear in the gift shop @CBR.DH went ahead and let ds have it.It is so cool though.A truly patriotic buzz.

To add to the list -a Monster's INC. dvd is a must.DS won a free movie rental on a gumball at the local movie rental place. We had never saw Monsters Inc.! so we picked it.Ds won't let us take it out of the dvd player now.He calls it the eye.lol

Just started my shopping but so far:
DD: AG items. We just bought Mia for her today so I'll get her some of the other items in the collection along with some of the other outfits I've already picked up on clearance and then probably another doll (Kit or Emily not sure yet). Maybe a barbie or barbie accessories. DD is hard to buy for as she changes her mind right before christmas and her b-day is end of Oct so she gets tons right before Christmas.

DS: he's into batman, cars, buzz lightyear, and thomas so we'll probably do action figures this year. I just bought some toy story action figures today for him for christmas.

I'm thinking of getting them both sleeping bags for our drive to WDW, we'll get new movies for the trip, and in their stockings they'll get the autograph books. We always overbuy so we are trying very hard this year to stay strong and just get a few things.

Dh unsure right now probably just clothes.

Other family members get small items like gift cards, bath and body works, candles, etc.

Hiya, can I thread crash and join in.

I bought my first Christmas present from Avon today, a mini smellie set for dbil's girlfriend from baby lol

This year we will have a new baby for Christmas (our first) and have no idea what to get for him!!

We then have 5 nieces (15,11,10,9,4) and a nephew 17. Who knows what to get them they have so much stuff!!

then theres my parents and dh parents, plus I have a brother and siter both married, and dh has a brother and his girlfriend.

I really wanna get the shopping done before the baby arrives as I dont think it will be much fun shopping with a newborn.

I have bought all the Christmas cards though, so thats one thing down.

I have no plans what to get people yet though I do ask the kids parents daily what to get!!

Anna

Hi Mushumadness!! Congrats on getting a baby!!! You are gonna be so overwhelmed with love for that little bundle!!!! There is nothing like a baby!! Way to go on getting your Christmas cards-that always weighs on my mind. Definitely get that shopping done now. I had my first baby the first week of Dec and I was soooo thankful all that was behind me;I could enjoy my baby and not worry about getting gifts together. If people are slow to tell you what they would like, or what to get for the kids, just start getting gift cards.I find that with some people in our family, that just works best anyway. It's so hard to keep track of what people like and kids have so much stuff now. I also like to buy books for kids--they last forever!!!

well I am going to town this morning to see if I can find something for someone for Christmas!!! If I dont start the rest of them soon they wont get anything

I always start my christmas shopping the day after christmas! I usually buy slae items for my 2 DD's stocking, and some extra birthday gifts for the first few months of the year. My family and I have a "budget" of spending $10 on each child-I have 8 neices/nephews on one side and 5 on the other. But, that worked out great when they were under the age of 10. Now, only 4 are inder the age of 10, so, I am giving magazine sub. to most of them, and gift cards to the rest. For my 2, I told them to think of the 3 things they really wanted, and we'll/Santa will see. It seems to get harder the older they are! I want my babies back!!!

OK I kinda started. We are moving between now and Christmas so not as much shopping yet.

DS4 - Nintendo Ds, game, accessories, transformers - purchased. He wants EVERYTHING he sees that is Batman, Cars or Transformers.
Family - Wii. Bought it last week. Thanksgiving Disney trip.
Parents/Grandparents - Trip home to see them for Christmas.
Goddaughters (teenagers) - AMEX giftcards

I do not buy for nieces and nephews. IF DH does then good. :)
DH - Maybe an Ipod.

I saw in the TRU ad for this week the ripstick is $50 and the Sansa shaker is $12.50. I saw some people had these on their lists. The shaker isn't currently available on line and the Ripster is available in blue.

I would like to get a start on my shopping too, but it seems like when I start to shop too early, I have more time to buy TOO much! Also, my boys keep adding/changing things on their wish list.

DS8 has mentioned he would like an electric guitar, Wii games, Nintendo DS, digital camera, and CDs.

DS5 said he would like Wii games and a "Crackle Barrel checkers game". (HA!), an Eli Manning jersey, and a fusion scooter.

DS2 will be getting just a few small things since he has just about every toy from his big brothers. He'll also get pjs and some froggy rubber rain boots.

DD is just 2 months, so she won't need much. Maybe just clothes for her.

For the grandparents, we make calendars from shutterfly with the kid's pictures.

Keep the ideas coming......:santa:

Way to go Susan!! Okay girls--we are almost at the 3 month mark--so get busy shopping!!!! I find if I make a list and stick to it, I can kinda curb that impulse shopping because I know I have what everybody wants/needs and no last minute running around.

Keep it up!!!
