Christmas present ideas for 18 month nephew?

My son is almost 17 months & we are getting him the Laugh & Learn Smart Bounce & Spin Pony & a lil quad four wheeler. If you don't want to spend $60 for either of these then definitely go with something from Little People (the farm, garage) the cost is about 25. Good Luck!

DS at 18 months loves pulling/pushing things around the house. He has the bubble mower which he loves and I recently bought a Pooh wheeled suitcase (toddler sized from TDS) that he just pushes everywhere. I'm always saying "Where are you going?"

DS also loves anything with lights and sound. Fisher Price fake MP3 player is small and fun.
DS also loves the wooden puzzles you get at Target or TRU. They are 3D and big and sturdy.

One thing that I totally gave in on for Christmas that DS already loves (and it's still in the box!) is the Elmo Live! I got it for $60 at BJs and it really is cool. He just loves it.

Ok, I'm going to go with the practical, un-fun answer, and say to give the mom and gift card to a kids clothing store. Lets face it, I'm sure the kid will be getting a lot of toy-gifts, and the parents will be spending a lot of $$$ on him too, so having some money to buy winter clothes (or even save it for summer clothes) will be really helpful for them. I know, its not a fun gift, but its practical!

My DS-16mo, loves to play with his big sisters kitchen set. My DD7 & dd4 both still play with it so it has lasted a long time.

My boys loved those little fold up "couches" at that age. They sell them at a lot of the stores (Target, Walmart). They have characters on them, and they are pretty cheap. They are the perfect size for a kid that age, and they pull out so that the child can lay down on them.

I tried to find a link, but I couldn't. They are usually on a bottom shelf in the toy section at Target, though.

They also loved, and still love, those little tents that they sell everywhere. Those can be folded up flat and stored away when they are not using it.

Those were two of their favorite things at that age...and I would say that they are both in the 20-25 dollar range.
