There will be an ornament exchange at the Dis-Con. You will not need to pre-register, you can decide there. It will work this way:

Sign up will be at the character breakfast. You will fill out an index card with some basic information and put into basket.

At the end of the breakfast, you will select a new card. I wil be registering each selection in a master (secret ) list.

At the farewell breakfast, the ornaments will be exchanged. This will allow anyone who wants to purchase theirs at Disney time to do so.

What do you think, will this work? Are you interested? Any suggestions?

Great!!! I can't wait. This will be so cool!! Count three of us in.
Imagine, a souvinir from WDW from a DIS friend! WooHoo. It can't get much better than this!!

Bumping back up. Everyone's posting so much it got pushed to the 2nd page!

This sounds like a good place to jump into and make my first (well actually second) committment to the DIS-CON

Tammy, so glad to have you 'aboard!'. It sounds like you are ready for your commando-in-training badge!

This sounds like a great idea...count me in!

I think it's sounds like a great idea! I'm going to do it, too! Now I just have to decide if I want to pick up something special at WDW or something special from here! Decisions, decisions! ;)

OK friends, next to WDW, Christmas is my favorite thing. I'd much rather have a new orniment for my tree than a diamond for christmas. (Yep, I LOVE Christmas orniments!)

My Mom started me collecting them when I was a teen, and I buy a new one every year for myself and each of my children. ANYWAY, we have a Christmas Shop here in Oklahoma City that is called the North Pole City. They have a variety of Christmas decorations, candles, trees and anythinf that you can think of Christmas. They have original and collectable items and the largest Christmas Village of all sizes.

I took my two girls there today and I just couldn't help myself. I've already bought our orniments. (I have to admit that I had planned on buying them @ WDW, since that it what I'm hoping for) They have so many beautiful things to choose from. I promise, you'll love what we've chosen. My DD's are both asking what happens if we choose one of our own names (by random) I say, hey, I love what we bought so if it happens to one of us, that would be fine! :)

Anyone else going to buy their's at home, or are you planning on shopping for them @ WDW? (I still plan on doing some shopping for the new 100 Years of Magic orniment that's being sold in the new Disney cat.)

I went out today and did some preperation for the Scrapbook that I'll be putting together after our trip too. Man did I have a lot of fun today! I even bought a "Princess" dress for my 13 yr. old Princess.

Gerri, I've been giving this some thought. And, I think I'm going to buy it here. I think an ornament from my "hometown" could be special, too. So, I'm going to start looking around for something that says Pennsylvania. We have alot of interesting areas around here, so I should be able to come up with something that has a story to go along with it. But, I'm sure I'll love anything I get from this exchange. It will have a special meaning all by itself.

Those were my thoughts too. Something unique from another state that people might not be able to latch on to would be special if you are a christmas person. If I can't find anything here then I will hunt at WDW. Just remember not to wrap it unless it is going in checked baggage so we and not the security guard at the airport can enjoy the beautiful wrapping job.

Thanks for the reminder. I had read that somewhere, but had forgotten.

I believe though that I am going to send this ahead in my package to myself. (Shipping snacks and jackets ahead so I won't have to worry with them :) )
