im not a fan of the song as such im just glad that the race wasn't predictable again....hopefully this will pave the way for better songs in future years![]()
I understand that it isn't to everyones taste though, alot of the stuff in the chart at the moment isn't to my taste and goes right over my head.

It really bugs me that people moan about the X Factor winning song being the Christmas No1, the reason it is normally No1 is that people like it and buy it,they enjoyed the show, got caught in the excitment and bought or downloaded the track because they wanted to, Im sure they dont buy it just because its the x factor single, I know I havent in the past.
However to start a campaign to oust a song off his rightful spot, mob mentality at its best and proves if you get enough people convinced its the right thing anything can happen. Not the rightful Christmas No1 as it would never ever have got there on its own.
End of my rant.![]()
It really didn't matter what the record was, it just so happens that Killing In The Name strikes the right chord it terms of it's content, but it only provided the platform.
So, we can have another X Factor record at number 1 for Christmas lining the pockets of Simon Cowell or a song that produces £60,000 for Shelter.

as in his own words the guys that started it were brilliant at what they achieved.

that one is just plain awful

I agree, absolute rubbish!!! What a terrible no1 to have at Christmas, dreadful.![]()
