Christmas Movies...

Die Hard IS totally a Christmas movie! A tradition in my house!!

:thumbsup2

And Scrooged is my favorite. :lmao:

We have to watch a totally obscure christmas special called Claymation Christmas. I recently found it on DVD on Amazon. Too cute!

While I like the classics (Miracle on 34th street, Rudolph, Christmas Carol, animated Grinch ), My familly seems to like the comedic Christmas movies. Some favs include
** National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
**Elf
** Christmas with the Kranks
* Deck the Halls
and of course MUPPETS!!!!!:)
THIS YEAR I am MOST anticipating the new Disney A Christmas Carol movie. We are going to see it at the IMAX in 3D for my DD's Birthday!:lovestruc
It really begins to feel more "Christmasy" to me once the movies are on.popcorn::

Christmas Every Day! I can't believe no one's mentioned it yet.

Rankin-Bass Productions. All of them. ABCFamily normally has a marathon on a Saturday; tape 'em then.

I love the little know Christmas movie "Nestor the Long Earred Donkey". I seriously believe that I am the only one to actually see this movie. No one ever seems to know it.

Every Christmas Eve/Day, I have TBS on all day! Love A Christmas Story.

This usually plays nonstop in the background for the entire 24 hours it is on. :worship: "You'll shoot your eye out, kid." :lmao:

Funny thing is, my parents got me that same BB gun when I was 5 years old. Looking back, I don't know what possessed them.

Oh.....I still have both eyes. :thumbsup2

Here it is:
1. Meet me in St. Louis
2. In the good ole' Summertime (title misleading but lovely Christmas part)
3. A Christmas Story
4. Charlie Brown Christmas special I and II
5. Garfield Christmas
6. Santa Clause is coming to town
7. Santa Clause
8. Fred Clause
9. Holiday Inn
10. Little Women (Ryder version)
11. Home Alone I and II
12. Look whose talking now, it was the third movie in the series but it has a Christmas story to it.
13. Star Wars Christmas special ( :thumbsup2)
14. The Nutcracker movie
15. A Christmas Carol with the Flintestones, it is a snarkworthy cartoon special.

There actually is one Thanksgiving movie I really liked call An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving, it is based on the Alcott story and it was on the Hallmark Channel, it was one of my favorites.

I must watch A Christmas Story and the Grinch every year
Other favorites include:
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Miracle on 34th Street
It's a Wonderful Life - maybe it's for New Years

Christmas Vacation
One Magic Christmas
Elf
Shrek the Halls
all the classic animated shows
Scrooged
The Ref - a Denis Leary movie
and my favourite
A Child's Christmas in Wales, which I have to watch by myself because no one else will watch with me.

Don't forget Holiday Inn and Bells of St. Marys. If you like Ginger Rogers and Joseph Cotten, try I'll Be Seeing You. Ginger Rogers is a paroled killer who meets and befriends Joseph Cotton, a shell-shocked WWII soldier. Rember the Night is also a good older movie. Fred McMurray is a DA who ends up with Barbara Stanwyck home for the holidays before he tries her case after the holidays.

I can't believe someone else knows what this is!!! I had to order my old VHS tape from some reseller somewhere (after we wore out our tape of the original show in 1991). I'm so excited that I can get it on DVD.
