Christmas Magic & Freezing Temps! Dec 10 TR (Upd 6/26, the last night!)

Yes, I was so excited about this day. I will stay at the GF one day!!

I LOVED the gingerbread house!

I also thought the food was very yummy. Everything seemed pretty fresh. The characters were great!

When Mary Poppins came, I started snapping away! Cortlyn was on her best behavior for Mary.

And yes, Christen was highly emotional about it all. But who wouldn't be?? Don't kill me for this picture, please - I think it's sweet!

Well, here's my first post on DIS. I followed a link from BBC to your trip report and have really enjoyed reading it while holding my little 5 week old guy. I'm overwhelmed by this site and am kind of new to this whole forum thing but it's fun to read about your trip. (though I feel a little bit like a stalker)

I'm inspired by how aware you were of your little girls limits, very smart. I've never been to WDW but have done DL 5 times with my pack of kids and often pushed them to the breaking point trying to fit it all in.

Enjoy you're new little one, you have a beautiful family.

Don't feel like a stalker! I love the comments and I love my BBC momma's!! It took me a while to get comfortable over here... I like the BBC set up better!

I have always tried to make sure that I am aware of Cortlyn's routine/ schedule. I feel like a lot of times kids are put under pressure to do more than they can and then everyone has a miserable time or the poor kid gets in trouble for a bad attitude, when really, had mom or dad stopped earlier in the day, it could have been avoided. We did push her to her limits, but we also made sure she had napped and slept well. She is such a good kid though- so its easy to see when things are going south!

Not yet!!!! She's pretty comfy, like her sister! I went to 41 weeks with Cortlyn and my Due Date is today... and NO BABY! Sigh. I'm probably going to be induced on Tuesday if I don't go into labor this weekend. I have made some progress so I'm READY to go into labor- if my body would just start contracting, we'd be good!

So... back to Disney!

After our breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, Shelley and I decided that we wanted to go tour some of the other resorts since we love Christmas decorations. Of course, the boys didn't really get as excited about that idea. Can't imagine why... They decided to head to DTD to hang out. Cortlyn, Shelley and I headed upstairs at the Grand Floridian to jump on the Monorail! Cortlyn was pretty excited to be on there. It has been since I was small that I have rode the Monorail- the last two times I went to Disney, I had no reason to ride it. But I was super excited myself! We decided to that the Contemporary didn't seem to have a ton of decorations, so we just stayed on and rode on to the Poly. OMG, it was so pretty!

This was the "kids" area where they were showing cartoons and kids could color.

We decided to go see the beach area...

I'm SO glad that we decided to go over there. I'm looking forward to coming back to the Poly for a dinner and watching fireworks from the beach! But, it will probably be a while, because I don't think Cortlyn will understand that she can't go swimming in the water!!

Then we decided to hop on a bus and head to DTD and find the guys!

We headed to Goofy's so we could make some yummy treats!!!

Corey and I made Rice Krispy Treats and Cortlyn did Marshmellows. It was WAY too much! OH. And I was VERY disappointed that our treats weren't on the snack part of the DP. Sigh. The stupid snacks strikes again!

Wow. I have never been to the Poly yet. I want to though. At least to look around.

Yea! Another update! I'm kind of funny. I am now wanting to do a real TR for this trip. I did the same thing from our trip last May. For some reason I'm not in the mood when we get back - it takes me a few months I guess. Or maybe it's that I want to do one when I start getting excited for the next trip!

So I'll just have to post more on yours!

I was really surprised how much I enjoyed the Poly. I don't know if it's that I wanted to be a rebel or what but I never thought it would appeal to me. More than likely though I just didn't WANT to like it, because everyone else does, ya know? If you remember from last May, my stomach hurt so bad during our dinner at Kona that I guess I didn't pay a lot of attention to the resort. You know we love the Contemporary and I love the GF, but I could see us giving this one a try one day now.

Once again, I have NO pictures from the time we left the Poly until we got to DHS that night. I blame it on the cold again. (Well, I do have pics of our lunch/dinner at WPE...but that's it!)
