Christmas lights in Magic Kingdom?

We are tryign to plan a quick weekend getaway for the purpose fo seeing the Christmas lights and all the decorations in MK and in the resorts. I am thinking of going the 1st weekend in Dec but just got info for a great resident rate in Nov. Anyone know when the lights and decorations qill be in full swing? Don't want to go until they are fully functional!!

The only thing I know for sure about is that the Osborne Lights don't go on until after Thanksgiving weekend - Drat.

I think the castle gets lit up when the MVMCP starts. Others will probably know more.

We usually go first two weeks in November and the trees/decs/lights seem to go up early. I think there are more Christmas type activities once you hit December though.

All decorations and lights should be up and going for the first MVMCP on Nov. 10th.
