I saw something interesting today and thought of Manning's photo below that started this thread -

We drove by this sign today on the Yuletide Fantasy Tour, and was disappointed not to see these ornaments, although I don't recall seeing them last year either, but I think I only drove back there in the dark last year... anyway I digressed!

Point of this post is that I did see the ornaments - in the giant warehouse backstage of Walt Disney World where they house and create all of the Christmas decoration used in the theme parks, resorts. DTD & cruise ships/terminals. It is an amazing building, and although "empty" by Disney standards compared when it is not the holiday season, it was still packed with lots of decorations, etc. I never saw so many christmas balls in so many colors in my life in one place! Not to mention wreaths, trees, bows, ribbons, etc etc. These ornaments, and several others were high up on a shelf - I guess not being used this year.

My memory may be fading, but both my wife and I have always commented that Disney doesn't decorate like they did 15-20 years ago. We seem to remember a lot more decorations then.

Thank you for sharing the awesome christmas pictures. We just left
this past Friday and we really didn't get to see all the beautiful christmas
decorations. This afternoon I was looking at a AAA flyer and there was a
little write up about WDW christmas decorations and the Mickey's Very Merry
Christmas Parade and Fireworks and shows. I wanted to go back so bad. They
didn't have that when we were there last week. I LOVE THE MAGIC !!!!

Thank you very much. That is a such a compliment! I still may not know all the technical talk, but somehow in the end, I get what I hope for more times than not! I have really learned to look at things differently and for the small details and not always the big picture. That is one of the best lessons I learned here!

Martha - Isn't amazing how much we can learn on this board? I love your holiday photos. I just finished looking at your holiday album and it's great. I hope I get to meet you next week - I think I remember you saying you were going for part of MouseFest. Barrie
