Christmas Eve Service

Well, let me tell you about my "memorable" Candlelight Service at our church!

I forgot to turn off my cell phone, which I rarely forget to do!

Youngest DS tried calling me during the service! (he had to work Christmas Eve, until 6:30). At least it wasn't during prayer!

When I got home I asked him where did he think I was?

His response...I forgot!


Duh! You are 18 and every year before this we have always attended the Candlelight service on Christmas Eve"!

I have to say I feel for the mom whose child got to loud during the service. We stopped going to our home church's Christmas Eve service for that exact reason - it was so formal and if our child made any noise everyone looked and sighed (I should add we have an autistic child). So we go to another local church that has a support group for special need kids. They have a 3pm family service. It was great and beautiful. My favorite parts were the band playing the Trans Siberian Orchestra song and singing Silent Night (accapella and by candlelight). The pastor didn't even freak out when my son answered one of his think about this questions. I love a church that loves and accepts all children!
