This will be our first time in the World for Christmas (and first time away from family for Christmas). We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge from 12/19 through 12/27 (me, my DW and our 6-year-old DS). For Christmas Eve, we have a PS at the Artist Point for 5:00 PM. We thought if we had early dinner there, we could be in our hotel for any Christmas Eve festivities like carolers, Santa Claus, characters, etc.

For Christmas Day, we have an 8:00 AM PS at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. We'll head over to Magic Kingdom immediately after that and stay unti the crowds get crazy and then take the monorail over to Epcot (probably for noon). We then have a 4:30 PS at L'Originale Alfredo di Roma so we can spend time in Epcot, have an early Christmas dinner (in the late afternoon) and then enjoy the evening in the World Showcase.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Just thought it was interesting that we're from Mass and will be there the 19th through the 27th also. Not flying Jet Blue, are you?

I think your plan for Christmas Eve sounds really nice. Can't comment on Christmas Day because this is our first Disney Christmas! I know we'll be at Epcot that night too though.

Have a great trip!

Oh yes! We are flying JetBlue out of Boston also. We got really great fares (as did you, I'm sure).

We are doing the flip flop of your reservations:) Alfredo's on Christmas Eve and Artist Point on Christmas Day. Sounds good to me!

We will be there over Christmas as well! Just be aware that they close the parks due to being at capacity on Christmas Day, a lot of the time. The last time that we were there on Christmas Day they closed MK by 9:30 because of capacity, and it was VERY crowded. Your Christmas Eve plans sound good but just be sure that you will be able to get into MK Christmas morning and then into EPCOT in the afternoon. Last year the crowds were even higher than normal from what I read.

We will be at EPCOT for Illuminations on Christmas Eve, then WCC on Christmas morning followed by dinner and the afternoon with family in Lakeland.

Have a great time! There is nothing like WDW at Christmas!!!

We ate Christmas dinner at lunch time at Crystal Palace. The park reached capacity before we got there. Had to wait for people to leave the park before they let us in. I asked the CM at the gate about what would happen if we don't get to the restraunt in time. She said we would have to go to guest services and have them work it out to get the money back. Luckily we were permitted to enter the park well before our PS time. By the way, they served complementary hot chocolate while we waited to be seated.

We're going to get to the Magic Kingdom hopefully by 9:30 AM Chrsitmas Day and probably head over to Epcot at noontime. I know that if we get to MK later than 10:00 AM, we may be out of luck. But I saw on this site somewhere that someone who was at Epcot the last two Christmas Days said that they did not close Epcot either time. I am hoping that is the case this year.
