Christmas dinner ADR @ Epcot?

I'm considering making our Christmas dinner ADR at Garden Grill. Our plans for the day do not include going to Epcot for other than dinner, and I'm concerned that the park may close because of the crowds before we get there. What do you think the chances are of this happening? Should I just go ahead and make plans somewhere else? If we do make our ADR's there, will concierge at our resort know that the park has closed?

Two times we had Christmas dinner with the CP in Epcot and entered late afternoon. We had no trouble either time and the crowds weren't too bad at all. I think MK is the park that really gets slammed that day.
