Christmas decorations?

We get to WDW the Sunday after Thanksgiving and it is totally decorated then. Not sure how much earlier they are up before that.
If you are going, make sure you take time to resort hop and see all of their decorations. We normally either walk from MGM or EPCOT and head over to the Dolphin, Swan, Boardwalk, Beach Club and Grand Floridian. This year we are hoping to find time to head to Wilderness Lodge.

Since they do not have the personnel to put them all up over night Thanksgiving night any more, they start appearing little be little mid November onwards. We arrived on Nov 19th last year and a good many of them were up in the resorts and in the parks. Since we were there all week a few more seemed to arrive each day we were there. The big opening ceremonies for them at each park are friday night the day after Thanksgiving when they do the first big tree lighting.

Osborne Lights opened officiially the night before Thanksgiving for the public in 2004. AP Holders get a sneak preview a week or so before that on a some special nights for them.

We got to WDW on Nov 15th last year and the tree was up at AKL and YC. Throughout the week we saw more and more decorations going up. By the end of the week just about all throughout the resorts and the parks were up.
We went to the motor car parade at MGM that week and the cars were all decorated for Christmas also.

We were there the first week in November and some of them were up already.

They start in early November setting light up. But the official tree lighting ceremonies and Christmas festivities start the day after Thanksgiving.
