Christmas Decorations

Does anyone know when the Christmas decorations usually go up? I want to bring my 2 DD's to see them, but I am trying to avoid Christmas week.

In the MK, the Christmas Parade starts 11/10. Epcot and HS don't start their celebrations until 11/28 so I don't know if they are decorated before that. AK and DTD haven't released dates yet for their celebrations. At the Disney World website, click on Calendars on the home page and than Special Events. It will bring you to all the Christmas celebrations.

We went last year, the week after Thanksgiving and all the parks were fully decorated. It is very spectacular and done Disney grand. Do not miss the Festival of Lights at HS or the Christmas Parade at MK. In both places they make it snow.

I was wondering this also. I'm contemplating a trip in November 2009 but due to school/work I would go down the weekend before Thanksgiving and return the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Will Disney be crowded those few days prior to Thanksgiving? Will the decorations be up? How bad are the crowds Thanksgiving weekend? My DD and her husband will be home Thanksgiving weekend so I would like to be home Friday or possibly Saturday so I get to at least see them.

I know Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party starts November 10th, so at least some of the decorations should be out by then.
