Christmas day/week at DL

We're heading to DL for Christmas week and have a four day pass and will spend Christmas day at DL as well as Christmas Eve and the two other days. We've been to WDW many times and even at Christmas as well as Easter so we're familiar with the crowds but since I have not been to DL for over 30 yrs I am not as familiar with the layout. I'm looking for some tips anyone could provide who might have been there the same time. We're staying at BW Park Place. Thanks.

umm..... can you reschedule your visit? The week before Christmas isn't bad, until the 23rd or so.

For the last few years they have ended up closing the gates in the afternoon because of the extremely heavy crowds. It gets pretty bad on Christmas Eve and stays packed until New Years. HOWEVER>>>> this year Downtown Disney and DCA are open, that may help disperse the crowds a bit.

I can't change the dates, need to go while school is out. Guess we'll manage ok - we are early morning people so we'll head into the parks as soon as they open. Also, we'll just have to soak up the Disney atmosphere and just enjoy being there!

Just be sure you have Ultimate Park Hopper passes (you probably do.) Even if the gates are closed, you are guaranteed admission with Ultimate Park Hoppers.
