I called Nan a little while ago...I knew there was a 3 hr time difference, but dumb me thought it was 3:30 there and 12:30 here. I know the sun rises in the east...must have been a pre-senior moment!

Anyhow, she was excited, and wanted to chat while finishing up her packing, getting Molly out of an oatmeal bath, getting Wilson into a fresh oatmeal bath, talking on the other phone to her sis, and talking to Paul, all at the same time! Luv ya, girlfriend!

Dede and Grim, the last few weeks of waiting for my babies birth felt so so long. It wasn't that I was uncomfortable at the end, like many women are (I was probably in better shape when I was 9 months pregnant than I am now), but just the anticipation of holding that baby in my arms. I KNOW you know what I mean. Do you have any particular special birthing experience planned? Lamaze, a water birth (LeBoyer), drug-free, home birth, midwife, silent ala Suri Cruise, a squat birth, a birthing chair, a family birth etc? I actually thought about all these things, some more seriously than others. I remember wanting a birthing experience where Mel would be on the bed with me, sitting behind me, lovingly holding me, whispering words of encouragement in my ear. But it's so funny when the time came, I was so agitated I didn't want him anywhere near me. I gave the poor guy a hell of a time. But it all worked out in the end. Anyway, stay cool, and we're waiting to hear the good news.

Lynn, it was nice seeing your post. Looks like you're thoroughly enjoying your summer. Lynn, don't be embarrassed , but I saw a photo of Keith in/near the surial Rasul bath with green stuff all over him, well down to his waist where the photo ended! It was so cute! I was thinking "Lynn is a naughty girl!"

I know it's late, we just saw Alice in Chains at the MusikFest in Bethlehem PA with my sister and her family

I got lotsa pictures, I guess it's time to learn how to get my photos & film out of the camera now. It's got a removeable chip so it should be a breeze...

I want to talk but am very tired so we'll chat later.

Aisling sorry for not contacting you. We got in the city with just enough time to have dinner with my sister and then to Radio City. Never made it to WOD and boy was Kayla MAD! It was VERY VERY hot.

Learned some interesting things from JK Rowling if any one is interested. Won't tell unless you want me to. She wouldn't budge on who, where and when in the 7th book. What a fun evening. It will be webcast on MSN on August 9th.

Happy belated to Brittany. Belated bon voyage to Nan. Glad no Chicken Pox - I was 32 when I got them - NOT fun.

Can't believe I'll be in WDW in a few short days. Luckily we found out about the increase in ticket prices and pre-purchased our tickets. I love the DIS boards!!!!

I broke my camera yesterday Dropped it right on the concrete slab out back...I gotta send it out quick if I want to get it back in time for vaca....only about 5 weeks to go and John & I get to spend two full weeks on the NC seashore

Karen, I didn't envy you being out in that heat last week, but I did when you said you'd be seeing Stephen King. He's my favorite author, a real nutjob, but he can really pull you into a story. Yeah...I sent it out today, Olympus promises a 7 to 10 day turnaround ... I'm crossing my fingers that I get it back in time & with minimal cost.

I definitely screwed up the lens, it won't go back into the camera now

No spoilers - Aisling I'll PM you, but she did NOT tell us anything major about whether Harry dies or not. Stephen King was hillarious. The last question of the night for all of the authors was Which of your five characters would you like to have dinner with and why. Stephen King was to go first. He gave a slight pause, looked at the audience and said "5 of MY charaters?" It was a very funny moment. The evening is being webcast on MSN tonight 9pm.
