Happy Birthday to Molly, from Aisling, Chad, and Jesse! I know you'll have a fun day, because you have such a good mama to make sure of it!
Dede, you got mail.
Tig, OMG 18. Are you doing anything special? What better feeling is there than to sit back and look at your kids, and know you did a good job. My best wishes to Brittany!
Nan, I wonder if you noticed I've been avoiding your cruise questions! I'm afraid to tell you the price, it's high. And I'm afraid to tell you it's another Eastern, because you probably don't want to spend money on another Eastern.
We have finally settled our booking on a Cat. 6 verandah, the same room we had the last cruise, 6540. I switched from the Cat. 7 the "special" navigator's verahdah because they only hold 3 people, and Mel said he'll come this time. So my price went up to $9000, but I get an $800 gift card from Costco by booking through them, as well as it being $400 less than booking through
DCL. The prices are outrageous, up $2000 from 2005, but we really really want to cruise Christmas 2007, I NEED to cruise, so I just went ahead and put down my $1000 deposit.
We don't mind doing the Eastern again, because we loved the extra sea day, and also because we'll spend less money with one less port, well theoretically anyway. I already have my excursions planned, to see/do things we didn't see on the islands the last time. So it won't be like repeating the same cruise over again.
And guess what, if you all are going on a 2009 cruise, we are, too! Chad's working 2 part-time jobs to pay for a trip to Universal next summer, and he's going on a trip to visit my brother in North Dakota. So the cruises aren't keeping us tied down financially and locking out other vacations. I am really good at budgeting the money, so that we basically get what we want, without waste. And also, it has helped tremendously that Chad's in school on a scholarship. Otherwise, we'd have student loans to pay, and wouldn't want to do a $7000 and then a $9000 cruise while we have big debt (with WDW trips in between.) So we're basically spending Chad's college money!
Anyway, Karen, maybe we'll meet up in WDW sometime, since both 2007 and 2009 are not good for you.
Tig, your friends Ophie and Tarzanman are going on the same cruise!
Ok ENOUGH about the cruise, sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lot is going on this summer, Piper, the Skjerven's in England, Miss Tiggerwannabe planning her Cali adventure, Britanny becoming legal, all good stuff. Nan, is Mom going to England with you?
Today is rainy, a lazy Saturday, tons of laundry, so I can't be so lazy I guess. Colleen, is it true I heard there was West Nile found in Burlington County??
