Karen: Sooooo glad to hear your voice. I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering if everything was allright and I figured you got caught up in that darn thing called life, glad that was the case.

Please let your darling daughter know that Miss Molly has taken to wearing a cute purple bracelet lately. I have seen her wearing lately and I'm been thinking about how nice it was for her to make that special gift for Miss Molly.

Well we are off tonight for a drive in movie in a new ..... nope not going to tell you now, check back later when I post a picture with our new camera.....

Hi Karen, I'm so glad you posted. I'm so interested in Saratoga Springs DVC, when we get there I think I'm going to go over and take a peek. Do you have the free dining?

Tig, alas, Mel's not coming AGAIN! He's going to tennis camp the following week, which is his actual vacation week. He couldn't get off when we're going, and we're going because of my sister-in-law and my little nieces being there. Chad shares a big suitcase with Jesse, and it's in his room with the ME tag on it, ready to be ritually packed at the last minute. My suitcase in on the dining room floor, where it's been for the last week, with clothes piled all around it. I have to sort out what I'm bringing. The problem is I'm having back troubles, and I'm trying not to move around too much so it'll be better by Thursday, well actually it better be better by Wednesday night, since we leave for the airport at 4 AM. I went to the chiropractor yesterday, and again this morning, and he's of the opinion this will last 48 more hours and then be ok. I am optimistic.

Everything's sort of ready, except for hardly any ADRs. When we get there, it'll be around 10 am to check into the Contemporary, so we can get a drink, park ourselves in one of the lounges facing the MK, get out our pages and pages of info I've Worded, and see what we want to do and what's available, for restaurants. I really don't want to spend too much at the table service places, or any place for that matter. I have Raglan Road, Rose and Crown, in mind Le Cellier. We'll have to see what everyone else is doing/wants to do.

Last night I listened to wdwtoday.com live call-in radio show. It was so cool! What a pleasure listening to all that disney stuff, people calling in and asking Len Testa and Mike Scopia all kinds of questions. It was cool hearing all this, as opposed to reading it.

I'll be back later, my good Jesse has brought me my very late lunch. He's helping me so I can rest.

Aisling - have a great time. We don't usually spend a lot of time at the sit down eateries either. Usually one character breakfast and one late lunch or early dinner. The rest we do on the fly. This time we'll have a kitchen, so perhaps lunch in the room mid-day to beat the heat.

Can't wait to hear about AKL. It's on our to do list.

boy am i tired...

lets see...

one of our air conditioners only works when it's below 100 degrees.
no hot water (i fixed this one - i leared how to light a pilot light today! i'm so Mr. fix-it ).
4 cabinet doors still missing - said they would finish friday (no-showed), then monday (no-showed again today).
sears called the day we moved in to tell us our refrigerator was damaged and they wouldn't be delivering it for another week.
missing backspash for the cooktop they said would be installed friday.

other than that - it's perfect

even with all the teething problems, i still love the house. the kitties are adjusting. i've got most of the window coverings up (except the ones i screwed up on with the measurements - apparently, i'm dyslexic), and half of the ceiling fans up. dede has the kitchen all set up. we've got some new furniture being delivered shortly. things are looking good!


Aisling and crew - have fun!!! What's this about a web cam in the delivery room? Is that so I can watch from the couch and still say I was there?

Your boys are godsends...they know how to take great care of their Mama. I already knew Mel wasn't going, Nan couldn't remember & I'd just assume let you tell her.

Did you get the free dining plan with your trip? You have sooo got to take full advantage of this if you did girlfriend! Kona, Boma & Jiko should be easy enough to get into right?

DVC eh? Sounds like a really great invenstment, fill me in when you get back, I'd love to hear all about it...

Speaking of podcasts...the organizer of my Disney Fans Gathering has been on a couple times, I listened to the first one...pretty interesting listening.

Okay, my faithful Dis friends, you'll love this next tid bit. We are headed to Dland in Nov for a girl scout (family and friends, wanna come) event. we are going to be in the park for a private party on Thurs 11/9 from 4pm-1am. Totally cool right? No lines for P of C yeah!!!!! I was reading the Dland thread about the red carpet event it looked so fun, I wanna go now, but I think I'm only going to get a day during Molly's trip...(7/23 weekend to LA) but one day is better than nothing right?

Tig - you have driven down to WDW before .... do you stop? If yes, please suggest a decent place. How far is it (in hours)? Planning, planning, planning.

Aisling - we just did ADRs yesterday and got what we wanted. CP at 8am and Alfredo's for late lunch, 4pm. No problem. I'm kinda excited about CP because it is BEFORE the park opens. Pictures in front of the castle with no one around!!!! I like that!!!

Nan - LOVE the truck. And the picture is perfect!!!

Yeah, I have a breather at work .... won't last long as month end is coming.

When we drive we like Clarke's Inn in Santee, SC

It's just over half way...it's actually half way into SC (which is about 200 miles N to S)

Very nice, very clean. If you like privacy ask for the Old Santee section, it's around the back of the resort away from the highway and it's only one level so you won't have to deal with upstairs noise.

Their best discount is from AARP, they also take AAA. They also have suites, 1 bedroom that sleeps 4 with a living room that sleeps 2 more. (Pull out couch)

Santee is about 11 to 12 hours in

SC is about 10 hours & Santee is 100 miles further.

It is also very easy to get to, right off the interstate and left into their parking lot. (Just past the general store)
