Slept too late to make it to church (we are overcrowded, so kids must sign up for Sunday school time). We have been very lax this fall...usually we are so good in the fall! Hailey & Jack still love it, but Marcus basically prefers anything opposite of what we require of him these days...he really is a pretty good kid, so I was surprised when he began to balk at Sunday School. Our inconsistency doesn't help...BUT they will begin rehearsing for Xmas program, SO we need to get w/ the program!!!!
Princesses...I, too, always adored Cinderella, but I'm digging Aurora's look more as I get older. Cindy is starting to look uptight. And now that I consider the story, I am far more like Aurora--ignoring parents' rules & getting into trouble! (Cindy just put up w/ the crap!)
Nan--I LOVED Hitch. That was the last movie we went to!
I did schedule one spa thing for cruise...Metabolic test...only $30. Not entirely sure it is "real", and not entirely sure I want to know if it is!
Swimsuits--MIRACLESUIT, girls! That and a lovely sarong (nearly to the floor, Karen!) Suit in black, plinging neckline to show off my asset(s), and detract from everything else, and I can change sarongs for variety (picked up a gorgeous fuschia one in Cozumel last year for $12--unfortunately the dye smells skanky when it gets wet!) This suit keeps everything that it covers back where it is supposed to be!
Cannot do a tankini after 3 C-sections--SO wish I could! And all my girlfriends have the little skirts (even the SKINNY ones). They look cute, but I feel matronly...I'm sure it has nothing to do w/ my matronly, er, motherly, shape!
Losing weight...I keep working out, eating right, though not rigidly watching intake...well, my clothes will likely fit fine for the cruise. SO the good news is that I won't have to buy new clothes for the cruise...and the BAD news is that I don't need to buy new clothes for the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Party was fun. Dan went as SpongeBob Squarepants. Pinned sponges w/ BOB written on them on old sweatshirt, and pinned squares to his pants. Big hit.
I just dressed in jeans and cami w/ a lei...when asked, simply said "I'm a good lei/lay" Another hit! Fun costumes were The Cramdens from the Honeymooners, a "One night stand" (nightstand w/ lampshade), a "free breathalizer"--a tube to blow in at a strategic location on a guy.....
Watched Huskers, drank beer, ate good potluck munchies, danced to a fun band.
Tired today...I think the only thing I need to go out to do is groceries. Cannot take boys to volleyball, they do nothing but screw around, so only one of us goes. So looks like I'll have time to wrap up some school work. I am in a MUCH better place after working so hard last weekend! I have a major report due at the end of the month (our building "Gifted Plan" for gifted & talented students). It has a template, I simply need to make some changes to it. I procrastinate this one evey year.
I got on cruisecritic.com, and low & behold, there is a meet thread for the cruise Dan & I are taking next Oct. already! About 5 have already logged on! Several from the east coast like several of you! (though they already sound like a more serious group than you!)
Well, I'll be back~~~~
