Christmas Cruising 2005

p.s. I'm done screaming now.
Nan, what a good reason to scream! Was it a surprise?? I hope you're having a wonderful time with hubby right now. And don't check in with us tonight! ;)

Karen, you must be relieved to have found your dress. I'm still looking, but I do have a bathing suit. I bought a wrap-around pareo in sheer black to go around my waist and cover my tush and tops of thighs. I love the idea of glittery blue with your dress. I wish I could find a dressy dress with covered shoulders; all the nice ones have spaghetti straps or are strapless.

That will be 8 straight weekends with shows - but I love it (I think I mentioned that before!!)
Yeah, once or twice! :rotfl2: Where do you get the energy??

My children are officially registered for the club! PHEW!
Palo ressies...the ONLY ones available for ANY meal are the first night! NOPE!
I'll hold out for booking upon embarkation or waitlist!
I DID make my SIL's day today...she had tried to book the Dolphin Encounter this afternoon to no avail. When I registered the kids early this evening, I was surprised to see it was available. Dan called her, she ran home, and got it booked. Left us a very thankful message. I don't think I have heard her say Thank You that many times in my life! I could have been rude and booked it myself, but the near $1000 price tag for a family of 5 put me off a bit......
GEES! I am having to retype EVERYTHING...ya think it has anything to do w/ a couple of glasses of wine, then a couple of beers....??!!Naw.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gonna go watch a movie or two that I rented last weekend!
I'll check in this weekend!
Kris
PS Just booked our third cruise! Princess again, in honor of my 40th, but not until next Oct. Brand new ship out of NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gee, I am so tipsy!

I'm SO happy that everything's working out for us all, and we're all getting what we want. Kris, I know how you sweated getting the kids in the club, so now you can relax. And congratulations on booking your birthday cruise. I'll have to stop by the pier to bon voyage you!

Gee, I am so tipsy!
:rotfl:

now now...it's totally fair, after all they did write a song about us Hotel California..okay wrote one about you too In the City and yes heard them both :rotfl2: We never get to go out without the kids, or at least not that often and we haven't had a quiet night alone since (can't remember when) so totally fair in my book. The best song was Life's Been Good ....Oh my that man is so wasted. It's hard to know how anyone can still play like that after so many drugs and drinks. It was a great night and kinda of a suprise. I've been asking for MONTHS to get tickets and Paul keep blowing me off then finally told me he didn't like them, that next day a PBS special came on with them on it, so I figured he'd clue in...NO....My sister saw them in Reno, did he get them then...NO...a client went on Monday night was telling me how great it was....3 hour show...did he figure it out then...YES..got 'em on Wednesday night and told me to find a sitter, then suprised me at lunch on Thursday and said he had it handled. (Of course it was with my girl friend, but still he at least called her) Yes, he gets lucky  :love2: :rolleyes1 tonight so I better go....after I say my atta boys...

Congrats Karen on the dress(&show) (I got my formal dress today too, I'll take a picture and I need some feedback, it's not red like I wanted)

Congrats Kris, we mom's of little kids NEED that Club!!!

Asiling: :wave2:

Grim&Dede: My turn next...we leave in 2 weeks Yipee!!!!

Tigg: I know, not home yet but I got my mail today :goodvibes English, love it :rotfl2:

Jill: :wave2: Your bike picture just loaded for me the other day. Is that new on your sig or did I just clue in?

Everyone else, get back here and chat with us. We have a hard time keeping up without Tiggie (& Dede & Grim) gone in the same week. We need your help.

Nite now,

N

Just the typical Sat. morning...Marcus is selling Scout popcorn...I have tidyed up the house, run dishwasher, started laundry (wow, I can now tell Dan does do most of the wash...he hasn't felt well all week, so there were 3 loads of darks alone!), gonna run kids to Michaels for the kids club project (its a pig so Jack is VERY excited!), workout, then have Halloween party tonight. Dan is going as SpongeBob (duct tape sponges on shirt, pin squares on pants), I will be fab w/ Hawaiian leis (I'm a great lei/lay.... :rotfl2: ).
Tomorrow church, Volleyball, workout, baseball practice. All this and trying to fit in some school work...Gorgeous weekend. Opened windows to freshen things up. I like a full weekend.
Nan, glad the concert was fun! I might get tickets to Brad Paisley/Sara Evans/Sugarland Fri. night. Looking for a sitter first...
Jill/Tig--you were right, it all worked out!
Aisling--guess it will be you & me trying to get those Palo ressies!
Dede--schoolwork this weekend for you, too?
Grim--who's underwear are ya wearing??!! :teeth:
Everyone else...it has been a tad quiet around here! (oh, yeah, Tig has been gone! :rotfl: )
Well, better get going!
Bye! :wave2:
Kris
PS Nan--I understand that "lucky" thing  Dan gone last weekend, then not feeling well all week...I now realize how many kisses, hugs, touches I get each day, and I was MISSING IT! Better now... :lovestruc

Grim, welcome back! How does the GC compare to the GF?

It's more comparable to the Wilderness Lodge. I loved staying there, but I didn't think it was as nice as the WDW deluxe resorts. Most of that is due to the geography - there isn't any room to create an immersive environment. Look to the West, there's a busy city street (which our room overlooked). Look North and there's a busy shopping district. Look East and there'a Paradise Pier, with screams and all. Look South... I don't know what's there 'cause I didn't look South. It's hard to feel like you're in a national park with all that stuff going on.

The location is the best, with a direct entrance to California Adventure and a short walk to Disneyland.

Nan - I wish they had the halloween party when we were there. Sounds like fun.

Speaking of concerts, We got tickets for Depeche Mode (November 25th). Does that make me hip, or a bigger geek?

Depeche Mode??!! OMG they're still at it? I remember them from high school days. There used to be a tv show on called La Femme Nikita, and one of the frequent songs they played in the background was a Depeche Mode song, The Love Thieves. Do you know it? It's a slow one. Really cool. I have to get off this topic, I'm starting to get High school/college flashbacks...not pretty!
BTW, it makes you hip AND a geek, but that's not a bad thing! :p

Hi Kris :wave2: !!
I wish I had a nice dull weekend like yours. :rotfl:
Seriously, you gave me an idea about going to Michael's. And over to my brother's to download PrintArtist into my laptop. All my cruise door signs were wiped out when my computer crashed recently, so I have to re-do them. It's fun, but I hope I can find the great clipart/backgrounds that I had saved.
Glad Dan's feeling better. :)

Grim/Aisling: Was that your way of saying I'm a geek too? :rotfl2:  I have to admit with all the oldies we did this year I qualify too. Smash Mouth did raise us up one level, but of course that was Aunt Lee's idea not mine....

Kris: Party sounds fun, pics please...Sorry Dan was sick, that's no fun for anyone. We all had that creeping crude at the begining of the school year. I took Molly to the doc on Thursday, no broken nose, but HUGE infection and fluid in the ears. She was the only one that didn't have antibotics previously. Poor kid has this very high threshold for pain, she never complains.

One another related note, Molly may have to get tubes in her ears before we travel. She had tons of ear infections starting at 10 months, tubes when she was 3, they lasted for 1-1.5 years and she was infection/fluid free. Wilson got the infections same timing, but tubes in at 18 months. Then they fell out, then in again, they fell our then we opted for the T tubes, they stay in until you surgery them out. If she does need them, my hope is that we get them in soon, as to not stress us out close to travel. She is thinking that it would be better with them in, as airplane travel for her is not comfortable. Of course surgery is never fun, but we've done this 4 times now, so we aren't a scared of it as the first time (we waited 1.5 years for Molly before we were brave enough to do it) She had lots of infections over that period. With Wilson as soon as the pattern developed we got the tubes.

This weekend is full of scrapbooking Mommy and Me for Wilson and I it's a Nemo theme, that's today. Molly has a date with her old nanny. Tomorrow go kart central, we get up at 5:30am, travel for 2 hours and spend the whole day racing. Now that I know what it's like I'll be better prepared. Food and water, and stuff to do in between times. Scrapping I think. Might even work on our Disney Party invites...Got a cute idea for them, want to make the disney photo frame (from the gift section) into a popup card inside the box...we'll see if I can pull it off.

Better enjoy the last minutes home alone without kids, they've had 2 phone call reprieves, first time from 9-10, now til 11, good overnight huh?

You gotta realize I was a New Wave chick, musically, in the 80s! I hear "80s" music, and hardly remember it since I wasn't into top 40 back then! SO COOL!
A geek in youth's eyes, but cool in ours! :cool1:
I will try to remember pics! Good idea! I have been HORRID about remembering pics of anything recently!
Nan, sounds like a fun weekend, but nuts!
Well, just jotted down everything I want to do on the cruise. I love to do that, but certainly am flexible!
Better head to the grocery store, then back to ready for party!
Bye kids!
Kris

Hey You Guyyyyyys!

I'm home...I see I have a bit of reading to do :)

Aisling told me you were keeping us on page one so Good Job!

I just uploaded my 172 pics into the pc. I kept up with my writing each night so I should have a decent trip report for you as well.

Hubby and I have a CKY concert halloween night, Hellview II...we were at the first one two years ago & it was awesome! There's a H.I.M. concert in Nov I'd like to go to as well.

I like the 80's genre of music :) Depeche Mode is Cool Grim-no worries :)

I'm headed out for a beer run, I'll be back soon...

Hi Tiggie: Okay what was that voicemail about?? Buzz Lightyear guns??? He's five of course he'll love that. I'll call ya later lunch is ready soon and I'm starving.

Wilson & I were late to our class, it was at 10:30am, thought it was at 1:30pm oops!!!! Good thing my scrap store knows me well enough to call when I wasn't there by 10:45, we made it by 11:00 and got the book done. It was a paperbag album, cute, easy glad I got to do one, now I can do them myself with ease.

So rest of today is getting ready for the race and putting up Halloween decorations. Kinda cool, our neighborhood decorates full tilt for Halloween, not as much for Xmas.

okay really gotta go lunch is served, Paul cooked pasta yum!

N

May I tell you specifically what's in it?

I had fun packing Wilson's Mr Potato Head box ::yes::re

Karen, I need you to tell me who you like better Stitch or Mickey?

If we were able to be Disney Princesses for one day, whom would you be?
(that questions is for all of you)

For example, I see Nan as Ariel-it's the hair, and Aisling as Sleeping Beauty...

because of all the house work I needed to catch up on this weekend. :)

At times, I feel like there are seven dwarves messing up the house. :rotfl:

Tigg: I'm such a loser, I totally forgot about Phead!!!! Yeah!!! I guess that is the good thing about losing my memory. What's in him? Will you mail him to me soon?? It's for me not Wilson. Wilson told me to get rid of Phead and I wouldn't and then last trip to Dland we got some and of course now they want to play with him, no way he's mine.

Okay and thanks for the Ariel compliment but actually that is for Molly, she and Ariel are twins, I have no red hair. I'm the Evil Queen. If I had to be a princess I'd pick Cinderella (she's my favorite)

Who is yours Tig?

Gonna go play with Polly bun now, check back later.

Nan

Hi Everyone!

So much to reply to that I know I won't remember everything I wanted to say.

First, let me say.... HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! to Karen! :Pinkbounc :flower: :bounce:

AND...back off my man! hehe
Yes, Grim's a wonderfully stupendous and thoughtful husband.
I sometimes don't deserve him, but I sure am glad I have him.

Disneyland was great. All the things Grim planned for us were so much fun, and then there was Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and everything else. Oh, don't let me forget Downtown Disney, which I really like at DL because they have a Sephora store. I could have spent hours and hundreds of dollars there! :)

I'm with those of you who won't be losing any weight before the cruise (and to prove my point, I just made a batch of cookies :rotfl2: ) I'm not sure what I'll be wearing for formal night yet, but I do know that I pretty much gave up on regular swimsuits a couple of years ago. I got tired of seeing my jiggly thighs, so I moved on to swim dresses. At first I thought that I would look like a grandma, but I was pleasantly surprised to find some really cute ones. They look very girly to me now, and I LOVE the fact that I don't have to worry about bikini waxing or shaving.

Aisling- I agree with Grim's comments about the GC. We've never stayed at the GF, so I can't compare the two, but I don't think that the GC compared to the Poly or the BCV. That's just one princess's opinion, though.

And speaking of princesses, if I could be a princess for a day, I would most definitely choose to be Princess Aurora. She is so beautiful and just stumbled on to her prince, like I did mine :cloud9:

Tig~ sounds like you had a good trip!
You should be receiving my swap items in the next couple of weeks.

That's all for now. Oh, Kris, I'm trying to make a deal with myself that I don't bring work home with me anymore. (its not going well, since I'm going to do some work tomorrow, but I'm trying!)

Bye Everyone! :wave2:

Principesse_Top.jpg

Princesses - hmmmmmm

How about Snow White. Wasn't she surrounded by MEN. :rolleyes1
In my job. I am surrounded by men :rotfl:

Yes Aisling - both motorcycle pictures have been recently added. :moped:

Hi Jill: that was me, who thought it was new...cute I might add.

Tigg: Must add our princess names to our list 'eh?

Okay watching a movie, Hitch, pretty cute.

Good ideas on the cookies Dede, I think I'll have some too.

N

Princess Names duly noted...

Mom, You gotta pick another one, Snow White is taken. ;)

If you think about it-they were all surrounded by men.

Tigg: Oh no, we can have doubles, otherwise how would be get our favorites. You still haven't told us yours.
