Not sure that I ever say anything funny enough...oh ya, look at my I stayed awake all night week, I believe I was on a roll, might have been a bagel, I was so hungry I'd eat anything

Nan--No, MIL is concierge, but we are Cat. 4. Wouldn't you think if she forked over that chunk of change for all of us that we could get early ressies?
Dan has decided to take tomorrow off anyway, since he had sub plans on his desk & all. The GOOD news is that the kids can stay home w/ him!!! WOO HOO! (I seem to be a tad more productive w/o them there. It isn't a huge bother...BUT...the BEST news is that I can sleep an hour later, so I might get 5 hours of sleep!) Took my shower to eliminate that extra time plus blow drying!
I am just too dog gone excited to work. Naw...I'll feel a lot better if I get all this stuff done!

Went to the site. Said I was now eligible to register kids, etc.
Then further down it says, no, I'm not. That either birthdates weren't entered for some of our party (they are, I checked online), or the balance hasn't been paid in full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BIL said he saw the last payment check, so I just assumed...well, guess we all know what assuming does...I'm wondering if the TA has made the payment!!?? Well, Dan can call his mom tomorrow...At least I stayed up checking papers, so my lack o'sleep was at least for a good cause!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Oh Kris - how frustrating. I was so elated that I got almost every thing (Palo was the issue - nothing we can't fix.), now I don't feel so happy. I am sure it will all work out. They DO keep reservations aside for those who have to book on board. Plus EVERYTHING I have read on these boards say that most people get what they wished for. PD coming your way!

Aisling--no Palo dinner?
I am going w/ what I've heard on the boards...that we can waitlist successfully at Palo. I don't even know if we will arrive early enough to try to snag any ressies left on embarkation day.
I have heard rumors (though they seem unfounded) that kids club can get "full" w/ kid sign up. It would not seem realistic to me...they know how many kids will be on board and can staff accordingly.
SIL wanted to book a dolphin excursion. I told DH that was probably a pipe dream.
Well, gotta get to work.

Okay, bit of a headache today, back to bed for a bit to hopefully sleep it off. I'm headed over to HMB later this morning, sis wants to see the house, sellers are taking offers tonight, not sure if we can get our act together this quickly, but ya never know, stranger things have happened.

Those that got their ressies - yay

When I contacted my TA & wanted to make my final payment they checked the records & some of the birth dates weren't there. They said without that we couldn't do anything.

HOpefully you do that & you will be good to go. (so to speak)

Apparently MIL had not made final payment yet, as not due until 25th.
TA did NOT inform her that it should be made by today to do ressies. TA is also trying to tell MIL that kids are confirmed in Kids Club, don't need to be signed up further.
MIL is mad and upset--she feels like she has let everyone down. (OH, she SO had not!). The TA is the problem here...she made a HUGE sale, and lacks knowledge and customer service. Sad that I know more than her.
No biggie. I will get kids signed up when payment arrives, and book Palo when we embark or put on wait list.
I bet Disney would allow someone who booked so many cabins to book things early...but TA wasn't smart enough to even ask.
Well, getting lots done, but not enough...

Bummer! I tell you, that story is the reason that I didn't want to use a TA. You would think that since they get paid to do this exact thing, they would care and make sure their customers were happy. Sorry for the bad/lack of advise and PD will be with you when you board. However we (Disers) can help when we are on you know we will, so it will happen. I suspect that if MIL calls once paid, she could get some "extra" service. That conceirge level tends to work wonders, and if you don't ask you don't know. Maybe you and she can do it together. (although, if your MIL is like my MIL, which she can't be because yours is taking you crusing...okay never mind, won't even finish that one)

We finished booking our excursions for the trip for the rest of the family. We were able to get everything we wanted except tea in Palo. I just did my DBs family now and was surprised at how many excursions are still open. The things that we were worried about getting (parasailing, submarine) were not difficult at all in fact there is still plenty of availability and time slots open.

I also wanted to add to Kris that there is a good chance your MIL will be able to book your party for Palos b/c they hold premium spots there for concierge.
