BIL just sent postcard from Stone Harbor...Tiggy, I wanna be w/ you!
Karen, Aisling...aw, screw the weight thing. I've been trying to lose weight for 10 years. I have here & there (I noticed a chin has disappeared from pics a few years ago!), but it's still me. Scale hasn't budged, but when I tried clothes last week my tight size is not so tight...so apparently muscle does weigh more than fat! It has given me incentive to keep working out! I was gonna be skinny for my reunion last summer...Stone Harbor last summer...Chicago w/ the girls last fall...cruise last fall...swimsuit season 2005...well, still shooting for Dec. cruise! Oh, well, I am healthy & I'm gonna have a good time no matter what!! Right girls??!!
Nan--DH & I know about divorce. We both had short lived marriages before finding each other. Married at 29...would go through it all again to meet this wonderful man! But gotta be harder after 20 years and kids...feel bad
FIL is upbeat. Cannot find it anywhere else yet. Having colonoscopy & upper GI today, and then basically they have checked it all. I'm betting they find somthing there. They said it is stage 4 & the radiation is basically for the pain. He is experiencing relief after only 2 sessions--a new man for that.
We'll just keep praying. Gotta live like you were dying! Seems like everyone has had time to digest all this...no one is giving up or crawling under a stone!
Grim...I am a bit PARANOID about the passport thing. Read the article in the Detroit Free Press w/ interview w/ head passport guy. He said will need passports by end of 2006...go to www.travel.state.gov and the timeline is gone (I can find the timeline if I backdoor through links on the dis threads. It is weird because it still says the current date...so that is weirding me out.)But if you go directly to the site, no timeline anymore. If you click on link for those traveling to Caribbean, it says 1/1/2008. Guess if it is on the government site it is correct...I wish I could call the official and get the FIRM word. Goodness knows the TAs and cruise lines have all been giving different messages to passengers...I don't expect that to change! Guess could call DCL direct to corfirm! Maybe wait a couple of weeks so the infor can get to all the right places. Was talking to a neighbor last night who said her bro went to something Maya (not Costa...something else) in MX, he did not get a passport (didn't NEED one, I do know that). Someone at Denver International claimed he needed one! He just filled out a form and got there...but see how there is false info going around! Guess we could always get passports after school one day if we found we really need them...we do have a little margin for error yet!
Well, gotta run to Jazzercise!
Bye!
Kris
