Christmas Cruise 2005!!!

Yes, Chuckie Cheese is that bad--warm beer, sub-par pizza and children running wild. Of course the kids love it!
Lithe certainly does NOT describe me--perhaps it is the past ballerina in me that is hopeful. I would like to be at pre-kid weight. I have a goal to be at pre-cruise weight to get back in my cute new jeans for the Kenny Chesney concert next month--I don't believe in globs hanging over the top! My mom and I have made a deal when I get to pre-kid weight she will take me on a shopping spree for new clothes that fit. I size 8 would be nice...I'd settle for a 10. Unfortunately March Madness means a lot of beer and bar food...just gotta keep working out! (I have to go immediately after school each day or I never get to it--ya gotta do whatever works!) That and really watching it unless we go out, then I enjoy a bit.
Have a great Monday!
Kristin

Thanx for the nice welcome.
Heres a bit more info about me and my family.
My dad is Bill (56). He works as a driver and is away from home most of the year so our hols is good for us all to spend quality time with him.
Next is my mum Kath (53). She is the one who books our hols and is the organizer for the family. She is disney mad and shopping crazy lol.
Im next, im Colette better known as Col (26) a single mum studying to be a counsellor.
My oldest son is (little) Billy (7).Loves sporty things and anything with the slightest bit of action or with fighting in (lovely age)! :sad2:
My youngest son is Jayden (4) a very silly age, at the moment is into all the princesses. :confused3
We have been to wdw many times probably close to twenty. My parents went on a 3 day Disney cruise and loved it so much we all went on a seven day western which got me hooked!Last time time we stayed in Pop Century for a week then went to miami and visited with our family, the went on the cruise.
This time we are staying in the Holiday Inn Sunspree for 12 nights, then the cruise, then staying in Pop Centuryfor NYE till the 4th.We like the hols to last three weeks or as long as we can before we return to reality
9and start plannning the next 1).
We are in cabins 6633 and 6635 cat 11.Can anyone tell me if there is a good place to buy some decorations for the cabins as we were considering Walmart. Also i have to warn you all that i will be asking about the shopping close to christmas so i can plan presssies. We love the shopping in the US and even go on to the Burger King website to see what the kids meal toys are when its close to the hols! A mad bunch? I think yes lol

Sorry, I haven't visited in so long. I got a new part time job and it has kept me busy.

colkath2005: Welcome aboard. :flower:
Our group will have many children, 2 girls in with your DS4 and a boy and girl with your DS7 in the clubs.

Well, I joined Curves hoping to lose some of my own. :goodvibes

How is everyone else doing in that department?

Just avoiding work here....
When I got home from Jazzercise yesterday, DD said I looked thinner! :cool1:
Watching it pretty good....it's SOOOO tough! I LOVE to eat! But trying to convince myself that I love being thin better!
Kids club will be fun! There will be 10 grandkids including our kids w/ our group ranging from 5-13, plus possibly a toddler and babe--though one or both may go to the other grandmama's. Should be fun for all!
Better get to work!
Have a great one!
Kristin :rolleyes1

:rotfl: Col,
Your family sounds like a fun-loving group. Over 20 times to WDW??? And I thought I was a fanatic! LOL I notice you UKers take LONG vacations, and I wish we had that luxury, but I can't complain, since we'll be cruising soon! Woo hoo!

3x,
I'm happy to see you back. I thought maybe you were still busy with your reunion with your DH

Kristin,
you girls are killing me! :rotfl:
Diets, exercise, ballerinas, ...Not to make excuses, but before I had my sons, I was a always slim, not skinny, but just right for for my satisfaction. DH is no help, because he likes me "curvy", as he puts it (he's so sweet!), but there's a difference between curves and rolls :rotfl2:
The good thing is we still have plenty of time to reach our goals.

Tig,
are you back yet, girl??

I'm here! I'm here!

:moped: I'm lurking today my friend:)

Just got back, I'm swamped at work and trying to work on my trip pics so I can get them posted;)

but I'm here

Remember my GOAL is a 10! (FORMER ballerina, never professionally)
Luckily DH has never had a problem w/ my curvier bod since kids, either (he's a chest man). Plus he has seen my mom--and we have the same bod.
It's something that has needed to be done for 4 years...but I didn't lose any for my 20 year reunion---I was the heaviest one there (MANY stayed home, obviously...!), but I still think I looked fab, and had a blast.
I did lose 10 for our fall cruise. Frankly there were bigger people than me strutting in bikinis, so I felt pretty good!
But ultimately I work out to feel good and be healthy--getting back to "fighting" weight would be a nice benefit! If not, I probably will be able to handle more cocktails! :rotfl: I will have a fantastic time no matter what!
Cannot WAIT to meet you all!
Happy Wednesday!
Kristin

How do you like my new driver's license mug shot?? I have a bad habit of raising my face too high in pics, subconsciously trying to slim down my neck! :rotfl:

Does anyone remember the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and Ethel took about 100 photos each and tried to choose one for their passports? It was so funny, they couldn't stand any of them, until Ricky and Fred threatened to leave then behind unless they chose one NOW! Then they just grabbed one. I love that episode. We girls are so silly! princess:

Kinda reminds me of our new photo ids we just got for school. (I teach fifth grade). I was running late that day so just blew-dried w/o curling my hair. Not flattering for me! But I refuse to pay $10 for a new one--I'll likely lose it one day and have to anyway. DH was disgusted w/ his, too--and he has a flat top!
Have a good one!
Kristin :flower:

Can anybody give comments on dolly partons dixie landings show we were considering it for NYE. We thought wdw may be too crowded for the kids. Also how is the weather for that time of year (bearing in mind that were English)! And finally are the Oceaneers clubs open on christmas Day and if so are they closed early?I told mum bout this site and these were the first few of thousands of questions she thought of. Its good to hear that im not the only one dieting for the cruise already.I more into toning up though and getting fitter so i can shop longer before I drop lol.

 Hi All!

~I finished uploading all my pics~Here's the link:
http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/ph...5&friendemail=email@yourfriend.com&password=0

I'll be breaking them down into a trip report next...

Nice mug shot Ais!

I get my photo done and run-it never turns out well so I just pocket it and leave it there :)

I'd like to dine with you and your family if you want to go ahead and request us as dining buddies :teeth:

Franco-Hope your feeling better soon :)

Colette-Welcome to our happy group :)
Sorry I can't answer your question about Dixie-the weather that time of year can be unpredictable. Range can go from 80 in the daytime to 20 (farenheit) at night. I would expect the clubs to run the same schedule as a normal day.

I've been watching my diet since last December-I think I have to pick up the exercise level a notch tho

Mom-You would hate Chucky Cheese! Trust me ;)
I have the Pilates workout DVD-you want it?

Visiting Florida is always and option for me, living there will have to wait a couple more years ;)

I saw the airport Hyatt this week-I never realized it was in the airport! How's that for convenient?

Just a suggestion for your door signs-the craft store sells peel and stick sheets of magnet paper-you could attach your sign right to it and not have to worry about having to tape it up.

Aisling
Your picture looks good. I am not photogenic so most of the pictures of me arn't to good.

Tig - it looks like you took quite a few pictures. Must mean you had a great time. Yes I'd like to have the pilates DVD. By the way I now have the PBA cards if you want them. I'm now off on Sunday & Mondays starting this week. Checked out the SOG site. Musics good. Franco will probably want to look at it.

Collette
I'm sure anything Dolly Parton has created must be good. She has a lot of talent & is creative. The weather should be warm in the day (not hot) & a sweater would be great for the nighttime. I bought a hooded, white, (with Disney cruise line logo) zippered (sweatshirt material) jacket on the last cruise & it is perfect.
If you get the passporter book or burnbaums book on the cruise it should also answer your questions. If not I know Tiggerwannabe (Colleen) can answer your question.

Jill :moped:

I will have a fantastic time no matter what!
Kristin, you are SO right! :jumping1:

Can anybody give comments on dolly partons dixie landings show we were considering it for NYE.
Col, I've never been to the Dolly Parton show, but if you put your question on the main cruise board, I think some of those experts will be able to give you the info you need!

Jill, Kristin, 3x,Tiggie...looks like we girls scared all the boys away! :rotfl:

Tig, loved your pics, but I have to admit, it made me sad, too. I miss WDW SO MUCH! :sad1: Thanks for sharing, I really mean it.

It's been almost a week since Franco's vein procedure. Franco, please tell us how you're doing!

 Don't cry Aisling-I personally use them as wallpaper on my desktop so I can daydream into them :teeth:

There's alot of photos in my gallery because it holds everything I send in one place. This past trip is about 9 pages long. Only about 150 photos

What can I say, I could've taken alot more ;) TBJ can vouch for that!

Franco's boys are on the DIS, I'm gonna send a PM to the family with well wishes for Franco. Just an FYI~TTFN~

:shamrock: Happy belated St. Patrick's Day! I was dying to go to the parade, but I had to work. The last time I went, it was so cold and rainy that day, but today was beautiful. The Empire State Building is lit green tonight...I can see it from my bedroom window. I used to be able to see the Twin Towers from my window, too...I haven't thought about that in a long time, funny how it just entered my mind.

Chad is on spring break now, but he's staying home...saving his money for the cruise. He and Mel are heavily into the college basketball games, so they look forward to watching the games almost every night, or maybe it IS everynight. There's always some kind of sports on my main TV, I can't keep up with them.
Jesse is getting ready to turn the big 13 next month. My baby!!!!! I want to have a surprise party for him, but it may be too hard for his friends keeping their mouths shut and not spilling the beans to him, so we'll see.
I've been daydreaming about what clothes I'm going to bring on the cruise...I'm obsessed with this. I already know what I'm wearing on the plane ride down, and the day of the cruise, but who knows, I'll probably change my mind 10 times before then. But it makes me happy to daydream about it, and to shop for the clothes! I'm not big into fashion, but for my first cruise, I want all new clothes!

I have a pile of laundry on my bed, waiting to be folded, but I think I'm going to toss them on my lounging chair and do them tomorrow. I'm tired tonight, and I have to get up extra early tomorrow to drop off my car to the garage...I think I need new break pads, because I'm squeeking like a truck. The car, not me!

Palm Sunday is coming up. I'm Catholic, so Holy Week is really special to me. The Resurrection always lifts my spirits and energizes my faith. Happy Holy Week, and Happy early Passover. My sis-in-law is Jewish, so we have the experience of both beautiful celebrations.

If I don't stop now, I'm going to become deliriously tired and ramble on as I fall asleep at my keyboard!
Nitey night!

LOL!:rotfl: You're funny when you're tired :teeth:

Morning All!

Heye Mama, check this out...
Hey!! I think I know this lady! And I don't mean Gloria Estefan!!

I got this off my trip report thread. Sea Spray found you!
I told her to come by and say hi here some time.

Aisling: I still get emotional when I think about the old NY skyline :( Every time I see the towers on tv, in old movies, in my photos from our many boy scout trips to Liberty Science Center...

I can only imagine what your family's feelings are about the whole situation.
~That must be so beautiful, to see what you see from your bedroom at night~

I'm not a city person, I'll visit as long as someone else drives...I've only recently begun driving myself in Philly-I'm a chicken butt when it comes to fast traffic  :moped:

I'll start packing after our trip to NC this summer. We go to the outer banks in August and do our summer clothes shopping there every year. Clearance Sales everywhere!
~First on my list is one (or two);) new swimsuits~
