Is your company going to give a Christmas bonus this year? Our company is giving us $50 Kroger Grocery Gift Card.Plus they have announced we will have a Christmas Party for our familys including children and grandkids.A nice dinner buffet for all plus games and a visit from Santa with gifts for the little one's.I think this is great and think it is great bonus for all of us.I work at a adult diaper manufacturing plant and business was alittle down from last year.So I thought the company might not do a bonus for us this year.:wave2:

That's great news for you and your co-workers.

I hope that you and all of yours have fun at the party.

Congrats!

No, my company does not give them. Guess that is one of the bad parts of working for a non-profit (but I wouldn't trade it for the world).

We will have a Christmas dinner for our families with some special stuff for the children. :teeth:

That sounds like fun! And congratulations on the bonus!
DH's company does a party after Christmas(Jan 10th this year), complete with dinner, dancing, raffles, the works. Its held at a hotel which makes it a nice winter getaway for us. We spend the day in the pool, hot tub, and sauna, then go to the party, and we dont have to worry about driving home.
As for Christmas bonuses, they dont give them. However with DH being in management he is eligible for certain bonuses throughout the year...and he just got 2 of them! That will be a nice help for our upcoming trip.

I showed my boss the gifts section on the DCL site, and she said Hmm, She asked which one I liked. She said "Looks like you get yours in April.":wave2:

Congratulations on the bonus!!! That's great!

My company has never given one, but they used to give quarterly bonuses based on company performance. Now it is a yearly one, but I doubt I'll see it come April... especially since they are talking layoffs again. We might have a Holiday party though, but that will be thrown by ourselves :)

Congratulations and enjoy the party. Its nice that your family can be with you!!

We have always gotten bonuses in the past, but every year I say I dont think we will get one, this way I am not counting on anything. I work for a small company, between 2 offices there are 10 of us and pretty much all family, I have been there 15 years. My boss is incredible, truly like a second mother to me.

Our bonuses don't come out until February and each year it's a nail biter to see if we get one. Each year, that money goes to a different home improvement project and we can't decide which one until we see how much it is.

Have fun at your party! I know for sure we're not getting that!

That sounds like a wonderful family-oriented bonus, for sure! Definately ENJOY!

I actually just received a Christmas bonus on Monday (posted a thread, too). I just started working for current boss 3 months ago and, I only work part time but, he gave me $400 cash. Not Bad at all, imo. :D I'm happy to be working again and, happy to have such a great boss who understands my need for part time and yet still appreciates the hours I DO work. It can't get better than that!

Happy Holidays!!

I will definitely be getting a Christmas bonus--my company will be sending a letter with my bonus and raise information on Monday, so hopefully I'll get it before I leave for WDW on Thursday. The check will be distributed the day I get home from Disney--Dec. 9th. The bonus is based on performance rating and citizenship, and range from 1-4% of the annual salary. I'm guranteed 2.5% based on my performance rating, and I'm guessing I'll get another .5-1% for my citizenship.

We are having a holiday party at a nice hotel in Boston. It's for employees and a guest. It's a black tie optional event. They'll be serving shirmp, lobster, roast beef, etc. Very fancy.

I should mention that I work at a law firm, and many big law firms tend to spend big bucks on food for stuff like this.

No, No bonus here and definitely no party. Unless you consider the $2.00 I saved on diapers a bonus.

Aaah, the rewards of being a stay-at-home mom.

DH doesn't get a bonus for Christmas, but he does get quarterly incentive bonuses which help for Disney trips (unexpected $$$) We are hoping they get raises this coming January - he's going on 4 years without even a cost of living raise. (but we are very fortunate he has a job so we can't complain)

we get an yearly bonus based on the performance as a company. The goal is 8% of our salary if we reach our goal. This year we doubled it so we are getting 16% of our base salary. Well, I am one of the "little guys" so we get 16%. The management gets at least 24% and someof the executives of the company get 75% to 100% of their salary as a bonus.....

 I wonder what living like that is like!!!!

We don't get a Christmas bonus. We are eligible for a bonus based on our circulation (I work at a magazine) but it doesn't look like we'll be getting one this year (our numbers are down).

However, we do have a ritzy over-the-top expensive Christmas party  I know that it costs the company $150/person. We're not allowed to bring spouses unless we want to pay ($150) to bring them.

In my mind, skip the party and give me the $150!
