FOr the people who have gone before. Say you have Christmas Day by yourself.

Where would you go? Magic Kingdom or Epcot?

What would you do? How would you plan your day in order To get the most out if it.

What would you do and see to make it more 'Christmas' then another 'regular' trip to disney There's no need to ride headliners at Magic Kingdom.

I would do Epcot. Take time to just soak up the atmosphere. Stop at the different countries in the world showcase. See the storytellers. The MK will be insane!

I'd go to AK. That's just me though.

Better yet, go to MK at rope drop, then leave right after the christmas parade and head over to AK.

I would not even consider going to Magic Kingdom since it will be crowded. Historicly Magic Kinkdom has reached capacity by midmorning on Christmas day.

I want it to be Christmasy. That's why I was thinking MK or EP. Crowds are ok as I have a ton of patience. I'd only be seeing shows. Basically just people watching.

The parade at Christmas is same as any other night?

EP has the story tellers, what else at EP and MK are going on just because of Christmas.

Also I have an AP, what stage will I be turned away at.

I would do EPCOT. Go to each country, listen to the storytellers, grab a nice lunch/dinner, do Candlelight Processional and finish it off with Illuminations.

The times we've been there through Christmas Day, we are always at rope drop at the Magic Kingdom. It may have changed but they'd always bring out a ton of characters on the square in groups (as opposed to singles). The Christmas music is playing and if you're patient and interested in just soaking up the atmosphere, Main Street is really lovely. After a few hours of wandering and perhaps catching the first stage show (should be Christmas themed), you'll start to see how much more packed it's getting and hop over to Epcot for the afternoon where there's more space and plenty of storyteller Santas/ Christmas Around the World things to take in during the afternoon.

Might be fun to take the monorail over to the Grand Floridian before transferring to the Epcot monorail so you can see the Victorian decorations. The gentleman should be out front offering roasted chestnuts, too.

As an AP holder you can get in through Phase 3. Phase 4, no one gets in.

I like this plan! MK.. Grand Floridian, grab a snack and Hit Epcot, hopefully I won't be home alone for Christmas but just incase want a plan :)

I am currently am going, to be doing this since on Xmas, My plan is to enjoy DHS, for the day til Dinner at the Yachtsman Steak House

My first year after my divorce, I didn't have my kids on Christmas Day so I went to the WDW to get my mind off family. I had a blast! I was at rope drop on Dec 25 at MK; I think it opened at 6am that morning. I was able to see the attractions that I wanted to and eat breakfast at CRT without any problems by 1pm. From that point forward, I enjoyed the decorations, music and found me a place for the parade/fireworks. Definitely loved MK on Christmas Day as it reminded me of the holidays as a child.

After lunch, it was crowded. Probably, the most people that I have ever seen in MK, but I would do it again. This year, I'm taking the kids with me and we are arriving on Dec 25. As long as you know to expect crowds and don't plan on riding lots, it can be very magical!

Last question..

Are any of the meet and greets holiday themed? It that's just for the party?

Does MK have holiday fireworks or parade? Or once again that's just the party?

And Santa leaves when? And he's only at the party?

I would go to MK when it first opened and try to enjoy as many rides as I could before the crowds get crazy. I would then head over to Epcot to for a few more rides, world showcase to enjoy a meal and possibly head over to Hollywood Studios for the Osborne lights.

This is exactly the plan I came up with! So now I'm kind of hoping I do have Christmas alone shhhh

Sounds like a good plan to me.

One other thing you might want to consider if you have time is to check out the lobbies of the deluxe resorts. They each will do a wonderful job of decorating for the holidays that is themed towards that particular resort.

I know the Beach Club , has a Carousel , and the GF has a Gingerbread House, yes saying them is one thing seeing them is a different

Swan/dolphin have an awesome chocolate display, last year it was gone by Xmas though because people were trying to eat it
