Christmas all year long!

Well everyone today was another start to job hunting. My dh filled out several more applications online today... Then out of no where we got an email for a phone interview with a company that would put us in VA.. So please everyone keep this phone interview in your prayers and for it to go good.. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some good news..

Hey Ann how is everything going? I haven't seen you on in a few days! I hope that it's all god news and your just working really hard so that you can have those weeks off! I hope that you aren't starting to feel REALLY sick! :grouphug:

Definitely! Prayers headed your way!

How fun is that, that you are putting out Disney merchandise and listening to Christmas music!

I really enjoyed this job. It was a lot of fun... but man my fingers are all sliced up from putting together cardboard displays. Silly company I work for sent me too many... along with all the gift cards to put on the display. Now, as neat as it is to see Disney Holiday cards and displays in my house... really, I am thinking I hope that I don't' have to store it for too long before someone tells me what to do with it all.

And I love the goodies Zoe got. But also - I can't believe how much older she looks than the last pics I saw of her. Maybe because those were your game pics and she was only 2-3 in many of them. She sure is growing up. Don't blink!

She has grown so much just in the last six months...but definitely in the last year.

Great goodie bag!

It is an awesome bag!

I LOVE photo heavy reports! (I've done a horrible job putting photo's in my PTR) And dont take the best photo's either...but I try!

We're staying at POFQ! I am so excited to stay there! :goodvibes I'm 30 days away! And I am SO excited I cannot even explain! :cheer2: The closer it gets the more I just CANNOT wait!

I think the closer it gets the more exciting it gets!!

Oh I love the decorations in the store now too! They make me so happy! And I am sorry that Steve caught it! Isn't it funny how when men are sick they turn into kids and when a mom is sick she has to suck it up? I am really tempted to take Damien over to catch the chicken pox from a high school friend's daughter, but I am not sure that would be a good mom and I am thinking of how much I have to get done around here and I don't think I have the time for anyone to be sick right now! I know that sounds horrible and I agree, I'm sorry!

As for Epcot, whatever you guys decide I'm good! So if you wanted to meet after illuminations that is fine or before that is fine too! Or at Wilderness lodge- but I don't think that would work for Ann! And maybe if we met after Amy can still get to her dinner and Ann can eat, do CP and watch Illuminations!

I think over the next few days I will take a close look at what might work.

We thought we had one lead but it did not pan out. He does not have the required clearance that he needs for this kind of job so we are back to square one. My hubby is in the Intelligence field so he has to have a certain clearance to get certain kind of jobs.

As you may of noticed I took off my ticker. I guess the realization of us not going next month is sinking in finally.

Thank you for the continue thoughts and prayers it really does mean a lot to me and my family.

:hug::hug: I am so sorry

I am tapped, but no... just been really busy at work... Next few days will be a lot easier and I will be able to get some things done around the house and for the trip.

Day 12, Tuesday 12/20

I have fallen behind on planning... so here is our last day in AK.

The park opens really early. (8am) Hopefully, we will make it to opening. I both love and hate that being able to have a nice schedule and not have long lines depends on an early start.

First up will be this ride.

100_0165.jpg

Doesn't this sign seem appropriate since we will be almost done with our trip?
100_0166.jpg

Zoe will not be tall enough and Steve does not do spinning rides. So this will be Alex and I alone. Yes, I do go on this one. I love it. I scream like a baby... but I love it.:rotfl:

From there we will head back to

12aanimalkbugl.jpg

I think this is the first time in the rm plans for this trip that we will be bopping back and forth. I hope it works out.

I love ITTBAB, but it has never been a favorite of Kira's. She use to have a terrible fear of bees and this attraction sent her over the edge. I think it still makes her a bit uneasy. As much as I love going with her and will miss her on this trip, not worrying (like a mom does) about how she is doing will be nice. (isn't it odd that she is 21 and I still worry if she is handling something ok?)

Then it is back to Dinoland to ride

images

I have never been on this. Dumbo... Aladdin's carpets.. yes. Why not this? I think I may go on this with Zoe. Just the two of us. I can't imagine Alex will want to go on this. Although, in the past I have had him ride with her. Steve won't cause it goes round.

We now will have some free time until we get in line for the 11:30 showing of Finding Nemo the Musical. I figure we should get a snack and the best place in AK to get a snack?

images

Not so much to look at, but the food is soo yummy. What might I get? Hmmm

images

As I mentioned, next we will be seeing this
WDW2008146.jpg

I love this production. This and Aladdin in DL are my favorites! Sadly, this time we will not be doing the dp with priority seating. I personally thought those were the best seats in the house! Steve didn't want to be up that close to the stage though...so regular seats for us.

After the show we will be heading right over to get some lunch here

100_1576.jpg

Never having eaten here, this will be new for us. The menu looked intriguing for a counter service. I am not sure if the menu is new or if I just have completely overlooked this place. In case anyone is interested, I copied this from allears.net

"1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger - served with choice of apple slices or fries $9.19
Shrimp Po Boy - served with choice of apple slices or fries $9.99
Chicken Breast Nuggets - 8 pieces served with choice of apple slices or fries $8.19
Vegetable Subosaurus - grilled vegetables, mushrooms, onions, provolone, served on a toasted roll with sweet potato fries $9.39
Dig Site Salad - Romaine, beef chili, tortilla chips, corn relish, and cheddar $8.69"

The Vegetable Subosaurus sounds yummy.

After lunch, we will head over to Camp Minnie -Mickey. I hope to meet some characters and then see
14fa.jpg

I never once have got good pictures here. I am not sure if it is the lighting or my camera or just my inability to shoot good pictures. Again I will attempt to get some good shots... but I am not holding my breath.

After this performance it will just be a matter of staking out a spot for

100_1895.jpg

At this time of the year, it is the jingle jammin jungle parade. I am very excited :goodvibes

We have some free time after the parade to wander about. Maybe we will see some characters or do some shopping. We have an ADR at 5:30 for dinner, but I think I want to change that. If I could just get a 6:30 it would be perfect. Otherwise, we will go to dinner and cut our day in AK shorter than it already is since the park closes at 7pm.

We will be having dinner here
oct2010249.jpg

We ate here in 2008 and had a really bad experience. We have not been back since. Kira however did go back on her disneymoon and she :love: it. So per her suggestion we are giving it a second chance. After all doesn't this desert alone warrant it?
FriedwontonsatYakYeti.jpg

Plus this is the one place I want to try an adult beverage. What one? This one
IMG_1462.jpg

Although I do not much care for the name "yak attack" :rotfl:

We should finish dinner right before the park closes and so we will head back to WL. There we will have a laid back evening. Since we will have had a very go..go...go day in the park without any break, I doubt we (and by we I mean Steve) will want to go to do anything else, but if we did do something else, this would be the night to see the Christmas decorations at Fort Wilderness. I am sure it is all booked, but a sleigh ride might be nice too... or roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Hmm... lots of possibilities if people were up to it.

This day we will use 4 snack credits (leaving 6), 4 quick service credits (leaving 9) and 4 table service credits (leaving 8)

Ridemax gives us a total wait time of 102 minutes with 52 minutes of walking between rides for the day.

Ann, your AK plans sound great.

I'm glad you are giving Yak & Yeti a second try. We went in 2008 and loved it! The only reason we didn't go this year is because we missed Flame Tree last year due to the refurb, so I cancelled Yak & Yeti to go to Flame Tree.

We have never done the dinosaur ride that looks like Dumbo or the Carpets either. And I'm not sure why???? :confused3

Plans are sounding good, and the time is fast approaching.

Hmm... I just realized I forgot to put in the Dinosaur and added a second viewing of MJJJP. I guess I will have to rework my plans a bit.

Not trying for sympathy here... just a bit of a vent. I think my husband is going to drive me to an early grave. I asked if he would be interested in booking the sleigh ride (don't know I even can, but didn't want to call up and see if he had no interest). It turned into a major fight. :sad2: Thankfully, he went to work and I was able to spend the last hour crying. Now I feel better... mostly...but I swear if we make it to this trip it will be a miracle. Remind me again why I have him going? :confused3 I think this will be the last trip I ever take with him. He can go do what he wants... I will go do what I want. Our best family vacation EVER was when we did just that. Same vacay time... different places.

Ann, I'm sorry Steve is putting a damper on your planning. Sometimes I think it is best to have "separate" vacations and do what we each like doing. I hope things get better, and hopefully he'll get a little "spirit" when you get there.

Great plans for AK, Ann! Again, a very "full" day! :worship:

As for Steve ...... this is for you    Hang in there Ann, not much longer and you will be at your happy place!

Your AK plans look great, except for one thing. You are missing my new favorite food/snack at AK...the teriyaki boneless chicken wings. Oh my goodness were they amazing!! At least I thought they were, dh didn't like them at all. There was also other flavors and they came with either apple slices or chips. Still haven't downloaded my pics.

And where is this snack? Yum... sounds really good!

Love the AK plans. We ride Primeval Whirl over and over again. I am excited to see FOTLK and Nemo again.

What is that thing under the elephant? Looks like it might have coconut (my favorite). I might be trying one of those.

Sorry about Steve. What on earth did he have to argue about? It's just a sleigh ride. I hope things calm down, and I know you'll have a great vacation either way.

It is a cupcake...think german chocolate. :cloud9:.

As for Steve...that is the thing. Seemed an innocent enough question. "after a full day at AK, do you think you might be up for going to FT wilderness to see decorations or take a sleigh ride" It all went down hill from there. I was some how too demanding... to judging... too everything. I some how just wanted to argue semantics. At one point when he started to freak out, I basically said that I know there will be times that he will not feel up to going to the parks or staying at the parks. I told him he just needs to pace himself and know what it is that we have planned. On this day in particular if he wants to go back mid day he needs to just be aware he may miss Nemo. I wasn't confrontational..just matter of fact. I don't' care as long as he doesn't. I just care if he cares. I don't' want him to miss things he doesn't want to miss. So at that point he gets mad saying that he never said he wanted to miss Nemo but he doesn't care if he misses everything cause he has seen and done it all. (really? I haven't and I have been several more times than him...so not sure how HE has) And...if he doesn't care if he misses everything, then why is he coming??? :confused3 He could stay at home and miss it all and be happy and cost me a whole lot less.

I have tried to talk very little to him about this trip since it seems to set him off. Just last night I asked "do you want to buy special bottles for water to take to the parks or do you just want to rely on ice water from cs locations" His answer (I kid you not) was that he wants to bring bottles for water because he thinks it would be easier to get water that way, but that he wants water from the counter service places) Then when I want him to clarify is it yes to both? He gets all mad saying I am arguing semantics. (why he is hung up on this semantics thing lately I am not sure)

I just need to accept he is going but will not be with us. I hate to be like that..but :confused3 But as hard as it is to not involve him in plans... I still need to ask him things "does he have enough of this for the trip" "does he have enough of that" for the trip. Or...maybe I should just completely leave it to him. Course, then I know what will happen. He wont' have what he needs and all of a sudden it will be my fault and I will have to figure out how to get him what he needs. (thus spending my vacation tending to him) As it is, I have been after Alex to tell me if he needs any more of any particular clothing item. Steve got testy (not full out mad) at me saying he didn't understand why I was making it a bit deal since I will just have to do laundry while there... it is as it put it "unavoidable" :headache: Maybe I should make them all sit in that laundry room washing clothing. Last trip... I did that for them... I forget..they spent the day at the pool...or in room watching tv while I was in the laundry room of POR. I am not a person to curse... but having done that all ready once... I have a phrase I would say and it rhymes with duck fat. ;)

Wow, I guess I had a bit more to get off my chest than I thought I did. I guess I need another chocolate bar. :goodvibes

Chocolate ALWAYS works. :goodvibes

Andy yells at me all the time because I do laundry almost every night of the week. He said "my stuff hasn't been in the basket a day." Well, then do your own darn laundry, I say. I do it during the week so I have some "me" time on the weekend. They just DO NOT get it.

Duck fat... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:hug:I am sorry these hubby's (except Kathy & Susan's, it seems) are not as into Disney and the planning that goes into them and trying to make EVERYONE happy. Kathy - Do you think we could borrow Mark as stand-in for our trips?? :thumbsup2

I'm pretty sure I will be doing laundry at some point, too - maybe that is where we have our DIS meet. Your place or mine? :goodvibes

Anyway - I hope your day has gotten better, let me know if you need more chocolate, I'm going to be all alone this weekend... here comes my small vent... Eddie and boys just left to go out to family ranch (Tammie - they are probably 2-3 hours north of you) to hunt, Erin is headed to a church retreat tomorrow... I asked that we have the house cleaned and laundry done and PUT AWAY before this all took place so I could enjoy a quiet weekend as well... guess what? I'm STILL in the couch club, house looks just as it did when I asked them to help me clean, so I will be doing my 'domestic diva' thing this weekend while they are all chillaxin'. DUCK FAT. :rotfl:

On a happy side note... I do have tickets with some girlfriends tomorrow night to the (please don't laugh at me) Breaking Dawn - Twilight series... I'm in it for the popcorn.

Dear Ms. Duck Fat,

Didn't I tell you to text me if you needed to talk about it some more?

Book the sleigh ride if available and if he doesn't want to go leave him in the room rather than enjoy the sights. Do not do what I did and spend all day waiting for them, do your thing with whoever wants to. Steve is a big boy and "should" be able to take care of himself. Also, only worry about your laundry and Zoe's laundry. If the boys want theirs done they can learn how to do it.

Boys are frustrating!

I am sorry about Steve! To tell you the truth I keep asking my DH why he's coming if he makes fun of everything and doesn't care about the plans! Just hang in there! I am sure that he'll realize he was being a big lutz and such! But I love it... Duck Fat! Maybe that's what I should tell DH when he gets home tonight from work.... "Get your own food from the stove!"

I'm really happy it's just work busy and nothing else (that might have come out wrong, but I mean it in the best of ways)!

We are going to try the CS Yak and Yeti.... I hope that it's not that bad... I mean I have to give DH SOME Asian food while there! I like the plans! It seems like a lot of good down time! If anywhere this park would be where I would want it because between this and FW I think that Damien will want to spend a lot of time he loves technology and animals!

Have fun at your movie! And maybe we can just all stick the bad hubby's into the laundry room to stand there (I mean if you trust yours with the clothes you can leave yours, but mine has no clue)! If we put a TV with a game system in there they might actually enjoy it!
