Glad to hear it's nothing too serious, as this sounds serious enough to ME! Hope Zoe is well pretty soon again!

for you.
Ok, we are back. Zoe is really not feeling well. My poor baby. She has an abscess. We caught it in time that it isn't too bad. Started her on some antibiotics. The plan is to watch her over the next couple days. Come Wednesday or Thursday we will touch base with the doc. just to let them know she is doing better. We were told she would likely be worse tomorrow...but come Wednesday she will start to show marked progress. With the trip though, the doctor is calling down to Orlando to give their urology team a heads up that Zoe will be in their area.
So thank you all for the prayers. I really am relieved that it wasn't something worse (like a rupture or hernia) This can be taken care of... but she is REALLY uncomfortable. I have to now just remember that she will get better. Getting her into bed it looks worse... and that is what the doctor warned...but still it is alarming.
I guess periodic abscesses are to be expected for Zoe (just one more thing no one mentioned prior to surgery) It explains why when the infectious disease doc was super worried about one...and when the pcp was as well... all of urology seemed to discount their fears. I think that before now, they should have just come out and said... yep, sometimes they form. Just have to watch it and hopefully get to it before it gets too bad.![]()
That being said though... I do really really like this resident that saw Zoe tonight. He has been on her case since prior to surgery and while there are several residents... he is by far my favorite. Super nice... super smart... conveys a sense of carrying...etc.
So now we just cross our fingers that the antibiotics do the trick.![]()
