Today I received an email from undercover tourist. Just thought I would share that they have this ap available. It might make a dismeet more possible. What does everyone think?

How to use 'Find a Friend':

Have everyone in the group download Undercover Tourist's iPhone app . (Remember, there is a FREE version.)
Access the 'Find a Friend' feature by tapping the 'Location' icon at the bottom left of the home screen, then the 'Friend Finder' from the 'Location' screen.
App ImageOne person in the group (we'll call them the Group Leader) creates a group. To do this the Group Leader taps 'Create a Group' from the 'Find a Friend' screen then enters the appropriate information like name and phone number (optional).
Now that a Group has been created, the Group Leader will receive a Pin # that the other Group Members will use to join the group. (There's an option to email the Pin # to other Group Members, but if everyone is together, the Group Leader can just verbally share the Pin #.)
To join the group, the Group Members tap the 'Join the Group' option from the 'Find a Friend' page then enter the Group's Pin #, his/her name and phone number.
TA DA! Each Group Member is assigned a different color pin that will show up on the park map. (There's a handy legend at the bottom of the screen so you know who belongs to what color pin.)

Ok, so I spoke with Steve. He said that while it is a neat idea, if it uses the gps on the phone (which has to be turned on) it would likely drain batteries very fast. Since we all need our phones to be able to stay charged while in the parks... probably not the best idea after all.

Oh well....

Hope you are feeling better today. We are at the 1 week mark today!!!! How is the packing going? I'm going to start today. I have a few things that I repacked as soon as we got home last time.

Yesterday was a cold day in central Florida. We woke up to 46 degrees. Anakin was suppose to go on a homeschool field trip, but it was cancelled because they felt it was too cold for meeting outside for his social group. Today it's going up to 80!!!

Parade taping is this weekend. It's all the buzz that Justin Beiber checked in yesterday. We are heading to a park this afternoon. I've never gone to a park on taping day. Usually avoided it, but I'm curious to go to the MK. Sometimes they do the Christmas parade again after taping. My parents had the pleasure of seeing it one year after taping.

I am still trying to find those great southwest deals yesterday! I was hoping for a good price for San Diego...remember I have about $100 in credit for each of us...but looks like all that will get us is roundtrip to Dallas (not much fun for us) and not even 1 way to San Diego!

I am already dreaming of a girls trip in 2013...think we can all stay together that long...or drag out our TR until it is time to start the 2013 joint PTR!

I think we could all drag them out that long as much as we all chit chat lol! We need to get thinking about this trip!

The deal I found for the 101 rt was on alaska... so that doesn't help you.

I agree on the 2013 trip! We all just need to drag out our TRs until it is time to book and plan. Lets see I will have 14 days to report... so one a week... that is 14 weeks. Hmm... then if I divide it by two and do half a day a week.. that make 28 weeks. So a good six months. Ok... not sure if I can do it but it is worth a try.

Lol That's a lot of time Ann!!! As slow as I update my PTR I could make mine last a while too!

You figure out a plan and I will follow. Right now... I have to admit it was all the math and thought i could do to see how long I alone could drag out my TR.

Again all that chit chat from all of us will drag 'em each out! Cause we only need to drag it out to this time next year!

I loved the ap idea too. I already have the UT apps for both US and WDW. And then when you posted that Steve said it would drain the batteries, I was like "yeah, but you can turn off your location finder except for the time you need to find someone". But then, stupid me, I realized that EVERYONE has to have their location finder on if ANYONE is going to be able to find them!
